serves economical beehoon and (gasp!) mee tai mak at lunch time... couldn't resist especially on brown paper??? plus i could have cai fan toppings with my noods! the liao was actually pretty good, but the noods were seriously greasy (even for a fried food fiend like myself). I could literally feel my arteries clogging up immediately. a bit expensive for cai fan ($7.50) but came with a free ice lemon tea. however, i also suspect that i got (a very bad bout of) food poisoning from this.
View on GoogleFried Chicken wing lover please take note. Jing Ci serves fried chicken wing tingle with prawn paste favour. The version is a darker brown but don’t let that fool you. Crispy on the outside and full of flavour and juicy in the inside. If you are lucky to catch it when the new batch is up. You are in for the treat! The fried chicken wing serves piping hot or lukewarm is equally good. I can wallop 3 fried chicken wings at one time. So yummy!!! Btw, their fried bee hoon another gem, serve warm and moist. Not the usual dry and cold. Many add-on to choose from, otah, fish cake, curry chicken, ngoh hiang and etc. Love the fried tao kua (bean curd) and sesame sauce chicken, tender, tasty, just the right balance of sweetness and saltiness. Jing Ci serves breakfast and lunch. The male boss and his staff are very friendly, speak simple English and Mandarin and local dialects. I patronize them daily for my breakfast! I occasionally have takeaway lunch. Love their fried chicken wings cannot get enough!
View on GoogleSurprise! Around the Arcade there are more high price bars & restaurants. I did not expect something like the Arcade here. It is like a time-travel! Outside is the raffles place, a high class high price area. Inside the Arcade it becomes more dark, less clean, loud, warm... and you have a lot of small huts with affordable food, from turkish to chinese. Seems to be tasty, because a lot of customers at every food stall! Also office supplies, barber shops... looks like a little "China town" inside of the Raffles place...
View on GoogleFood is nice but oily.. price point $7.50 with ice lemon tea is nice.. but came with a free worm….. very sad…
View on GoogleNewly opened joint that replaced the breakfast store people patron. Currently they only serve bee hoon and mee with side dishes along with drinks but heard will have dessert and nasi lemak soon. The mee hoon is great for people who dislike veggies or bean sprout as you can exclude them. Side dishes were pretty normal but the ngoh hiang is pretty yummy. If anything everything feels a tad too oily. The chili is also great complement, taste a little closer to sweet side. Had the tea, which currently promotion of free hot drinks if you spent >5$. The tea taste good actually, not like other places watered down tea. All in all pleasant place. Can be cheaper tho haha.
