The portions of fish (and seafood) are generous and the ingredients are very fresh. The soup is lightly seasoned—not salty or oily—but extremely flavourful. It drinks like a fish equivalent of a tonkotsu broth (ie, creamy without milk). The pumpkin rice, in particular, is very delightful—it is what you expect of a traditional yam rice you might get in a old-fashioned fish soup stall, but just a bit sweeter. All in, a great place for a hearty but not heavy lunch!

Came here many times because their soup base is very different from the traditional fish soup base. Nice taste, especially if you add the dried prawn chilli. Usually i go for dory, but decided to try their goliath grouper today. Fish was fresh, with generous portions, with prawns, lala and minced meatloaf.

Ordered $18.90 grouper seafood soup. Soup was tasty, had 2 prawns, 5 slices grouper, 3 pcs of meat, 1 lala (shop staff confirm they did not missed out any lala). Would be five stars if they more generous with lala Limited seats, went at 3pm+ so got seats easily

Daughter loved their Batang Fish Porridge. Came here after church to have her porridge and we have the Fish soup. I got my Grouper Fish Soup - very fresh fish slices.

Love this store special; sashimi grade Japanese oyster porridge offered only at its Funan outlet. There are 5 plump and sweet raw oysters immersed in a tasty and flavourful hot porridge. It costs $21.60, making it a good competition to the oyster bar across the aisle. I left the oyster to cook a little longer, fusing its flavour with the porridge and vice versa. It’s so so good. Just say I would not mind eating this oyster porridge again for dinner!!
