First time trying this outlet on a weekend dinner time. Crowded with limited seats. Greeted and shown to seat. Decent customer service, might be understaff that day as i see the same service person being very busy. Place nicely renovated yesterday, modern and clean. This is one of my favourite brand for ramen. Free eggs and bean sprouts for appetiser. Offer free drinking water too. We ordered the tonkotsu ramen. The soup is thick and flavourful. You can choose less salty if you want lighter taste. Same for texture for noodle. Portion and price are decent. Overall good ramen experience.
View on GoogleWe visited on a Sunday evening. Surprised that it wasn't more crowded. We had gyoza and ham cutlet, and I had the shirinashi tantan men. The tantan men was spicy and delicious, with thick and creamy sauce. Loved the uni gyoza and ham cutlet. Would definitely come back for all three items. There was 1-for-1 happy hour promo for the Yebisu draft beer.
View on GoogleNot really sure why this place is so empty all the time, seeing as it's part of the Keisuke family of restaurants and isn't that much more expensive (plus free eggs - who can resist?). People are missing out, though - their ramen is not just excellent but has flair. And they have a little booth selling a superbly curated collection of Japanese snacks, most excellent of which the Setouchi lemon flavored ika senbei. Liked: - Oyster ramen. Not just a gimmick - the broth is laced with briny oyster goodness, which can be accentuated with generous dashes of Setouchi lemon hot sauce and spicy oils. It even comes with a squeezable lemon wedge to amp up the acidity.
View on GoogleThe gyoza is a bit on the salty side. As for the ramen broth, it's way too thick despite selecting 'light'. I guess if someone likes those thick Japanese ramen broths they might like this. It would be better if they had less overwhelming and rich/thick alternatives for their tonkotsu ramen and more ramen variety... A bit disappointing for a first time visit. The free-flow beansprouts tasted good though.
View on GoogleHiroshima oyster broth ramen with flavoured egg ($21.50) - The soup was not bad but the noodles were a little soft. Pork gyoza ($5 for 5 pieces) - Average.
