Ka-EN serves high quality jap food with a great dining atmosphere @The Capitol Kempinski, Stamford road. They have daily happy hour from 5-8pm and the service is great and welcoming. We went there for lunch on a Saturday and the restaurant is pretty quiet. We ordered a couple of appetisers, oysters, Sashimi, Sushi and Wagyu don. Food standard is great and the seafood is very fresh. Below are some items we really like to recommend. 1. Mentaiko Tako Wasabi: love it, especially the taste was elevated by the mentaiko. 2. Oysters: this surprised me. The oysters were very fresh, fat and juicy. It’s one of the better oysters I have had in sg. 3. At the price point of below $40, this roasted Wagyu with Foie Gras don is very worth it imo! The don came with A4/5 premium Miyazaki roast Wagyu with sweet Yakiniku sauce. It’s paired with foie gras and a runny Okinawa egg yolk. We will return again for sure :)

Wished they had better wines to pair with the food. However, menu featured a good variety and at acceptable prices for quality. Some items can be made cheaper. While indoors might seem a little smokey with the open-kitchen and grill, the external area was cooling/ better view. Service by part-timer Stanley was excellent. He was patient and accommodating with our requests.

The food and vibe here is really great. Starting with oysters at happy hour for just $3 a pop, it's really huge, fresh and plump. Totally worth. And then the salmon sashimi is really thick and fresh as well again well worth for only $10. The wagyu don is one of the best I've had, nice fragrant rice paired perfectly with Okinawa yolk, and smooth tender melt in your mouth wagyu with 2 different distinctive flavours. Bbuta khashira don was very savoury as well with tender iberico pork cheeks. Use your Krispay and earn good bonus with a satisfying meal!

Amazing Japanese food 😘 went three times in a row!!! Enjoyed the Sukiyaki and the 9 kinds sashimi the most. So fresh and the beef 🥩 just melt in your mouth. They have quite extensive menu from don to ramen to izakaya. Service is equally amazing 🤩 and many thanks to Hazel for taking care of me and my friends for the 3 consecutive days ❤️

I had a really enjoyable dining experience at Ka-En Grill & Sushi Bar. The service was friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout the meal. The Premium Buta Kashira Don was excellent — the Iberico pork was incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with flavour. The combination with the onsen egg and mushrooms worked perfectly. The Garlic Butter Prawns were also delicious, very flavourful and cooked just right, with a rich garlic butter sauce that tasted amazing. To finish, I had the yuzu ice cream, which was refreshing, smooth, and perfectly balanced in sweetness and citrus flavour. Overall, great food, good atmosphere, and very friendly service. I’ll definitely come back again.
