Had a great dining experience! The Dry Laksa was savoury and flavourful, while the Babi Pongteh had very tender meat. The Tahu Goreng was delicious, especially with the peanut sauce, onions, and cucumber. For dessert, the Durian Crème Brûlée was smooth and creamy, and the Ginger Flower & Lychee Sorbet was refreshing, with roasted peanuts adding a nice crunch. The service was excellent too—the staff were attentive and promptly refilled our water throughout the meal. Great food and great service. Will definitely be back!
View on GoogleUnlike other premade food, the food here was exceptional you can truly feel the care and long hours the chef put into preparing and serving each dish and recovering the authentic peranakan taste. Special shoutout to their Rendang Beef and Babi Pongteh: both were incredibly well-marinated and beautifully spiced, with a perfect balance of fat and lean meat. The meat was so tender it practically melted in the mouth. The desserts were equally impressive and creative, blending traditional flavours with a modern twist. I personally loved the lychee ginger flower sorbet, while my partner really enjoyed the pulut hitam panna cotta. We ordered the $108 set meal for two, which was absolutely worth it. The portions were so generous that we even had to takeaway one of the dishes! Chill and relax vibe for a after rain evening dinner , love it here 😋
View on GoogleHad a fantastic group dinner at Godmama last evening. I highly recommend this place with a larger group so you can enjoy a variety of their peranakan offerings without heaviness! There was no bad dish. Everything was cooked to perfection with layered, complex flavours. Atmosphere is casual and not stuffy. The great food really enhanced the group interaction too! A must-try is their signature popiah with smooth eggy skin. It happens to be the one photo I don’t have below because we walloped it as soon as it landed on our table!
View on GoogleAt Funan Mall in Singapore, I dined at Godmama and enjoyed some wonderful traditional Singaporean food. I had a delicious pork dish and some blue jasmine rice, and the portions were generous—I left full and happy. The milkshake was great too. The atmosphere is just okay; you’re not really there for the ambiance—it’s at the top of the mall near a gym. The service was nothing special, just average. But if you’re after tasty Singaporean dishes, this is definitely a spot worth visiting!
View on GoogleHad an enjoyable dinner though Peranakan flavours r relatively watered down (from someone who is used to more robust flavours). Pricepoint is on the higer side though understable given the location and quality and freshness of ingredients used. Bookings recommended as seating capacity is limited. Service was efficient. Recommended!!
