We were seated at the bar area today, and it turned out to be such a great experience! Watching the team prepare the pizzas was fun, and the guys at the pizza station were incredibly friendly and helpful. We were honestly spoiled for choice, so they took the time to explain the menu and gave us recommendations, which we really appreciated. We ordered the tartufo e funghi pizza along with a few other dishes, and the pizza was definitely the star of our dinner, absolutely delicious! The service from all the staff was excellent throughout our visit. I only managed to catch one name, Faiz, who was especially warm and attentive. A big thank you to the entire team for making our dining experience so enjoyable. Keep up the great work, we’ll definitely be back!

Underwhelming. We queued for about 45 minutes and had high expectations for this place which has been getting a lot of hype. And hype it is. The pesto pizza was delicious, with a thin crust and topped with burrata-ish cheese on top. The house salad was really good, the greens were fresh and it achieved a great balance between the ingredients, lemon juice and olive oil. The double crunch is a house special and had an unusual way about it, it feels like biting into a crunchy sandwich. It was unique but wasn't really great tasting. The pasta dishes were truly underwhelming. All of the pasta dishes were too saltish. My wife rejected the truffle mushroom pasta which I took a forkful and I found the pasta too soft. My pork stew with butter just (a house special) was also a disappointment and the sauce was extremely salty. The carbonara felt inauthentic and the cheese didn't feel right. The pesto pasta was the best of the lot but it was at best mediocre. The ambience though is great, there is an unmistakable buzz here and I guess it's exciting to join a long queue to look forward to something new. When my wife asked for the truffle mushroom pasta to be returned, the staff was kind enough to take it off the bill for us. There is also a 75m eating time, though the food arrived relatively fast. If I were to come back, I would only go for the house salad and try more pizza flavours. The pasta is definitely underwhelming and honestly not even within the normal standards I would expect of an Italian family restaurant.

Always see a very long queue for Casa Vostra, so we decided to try it out when we passed by during an off peak hour and didn’t need to queue for it. Tried an appetizer, pasta and pizza. The carbonara rigatoni pasta and baked scamorza appetizer were average and nothing to shout about, but the tartufo e funghi pizza tasted really good. To be honest I don’t really understand the hype around this place and why it always has such a long wait. It’s a nice Italian restaurant with the quality of food in line with the price. But it’s not worth queuing for, let alone queueing up to 1 hour. Singapore has many other good Italian restaurants that doesn’t require queuing so long for.

Went on a Monday at 615pm. No queue and quite empty. Ravioli was my favourite, pesto pasta was underwhelming (very light and not enough pesto flavours to it), carbonara got a bit too salty halfway through (especially the Guanciale - should make it into smaller size). Tiramisu wasn’t to my liking (too much cream, not enough cake). Aside from that, customer service was decent and lovely decor in the restaurant.

Pinned on my list of KIV restaurants to visit. Finally able to dine in after the hype diminished. I would say, it met my expectations of good food and attentive service staff. Parmigiana - The eggplant is smooth, buttery and mixes well with the basil, tomato base and cheese. Ravioli Ricotta e Spinaci - Very rich cheese flavor. Recommended for those that enjoy cheese Margherita Pizza - The benchmark of every Italian restaurant. A simple classic that tells me if I should return. It’s reasonably priced for its quality, this pizza delivers a beautifully smoky, wood-fired crust, a light yet vibrant tomato base, creamy mozzarella, and fragrant fresh basil. Sometimes, simplicity done right is all it takes.
