Visited Waa Cow! at Marina One recently with friends and it was nice to see a familiar name still going strong after all these years. Having left for China and returned to Singapore nearly eight years later, I was pleasantly surprised to find the brand still around and continuing to serve up quality bowls. The food remains the main draw here. I went for one of their signature Wagyu beef bowls topped with mentaiko and foie gras, and it delivered exactly what it promised. Rich, indulgent, and packed with flavour, it's the kind of bowl that will appeal to those who enjoy bolder and heavier flavour profiles. The Wagyu was tender, the toppings added plenty of richness, and everything came together nicely without feeling overly complicated. We also ordered the truffle fries on the side, which turned out to be a great accompaniment. The fries were crispy and the accompanying dip was genuinely tasty, making it easy to keep reaching for more. The environment was comfortable and relaxed. Despite visiting during the weekend lunch period, the restaurant wasn't particularly crowded, which made for a pleasant dining experience. Seating was comfortable and the atmosphere felt casual enough for a catch-up with friends while still being polished enough for a business lunch. Service was efficient throughout. Food arrived at the table surprisingly quickly, and the overall experience felt smooth and well managed despite the lunch timing. Staff interactions were pleasant and professional without being intrusive. Overall, Waa Cow! continues to deliver what it does best, satisfying beef bowls with rich flavours and quality ingredients. It's good to see a long-standing brand maintaining its standards, and I'd happily return whenever the craving for a hearty Wagyu bowl strikes.
View on GoogleVery nice bowls we had the Salmon and Yuzu Wagyu beef! Abit pricey but ok for the fresh and tasty ingredients. The drinks were interesting and cheaper with the meals. We came on a Saturday evening and it’s not too occupied. Good place to dine during weekends and chill in cbd area when it’s less buzzing than weekdays.
View on GoogleThis was my first time at this restaurant and I genuinely loved the food. At first glance, the portion size might seem small, but trust me—it’s surprisingly filling and satisfying. What really stood out was the taste. I absolutely loved my bowl—from how it looked to how it tasted. The rice was incredibly flavorful, and I finished it in no time because I just couldn’t resist. Definitely going back again!
View on GoogleI always like Waa Cow, first for the delicious rice bowls, and 2nd for the wonderful staff who always help us get the best value using Grab Dine Out. I tried for the first time the mentaiko chirashi and love it! However I do need to complain, AGAIN, about the inside seating, where for most tables, one side of the seats face the glass door. During lunch time this is super glaring and uncomfortable, as was my case and I had to rush to finish lunch just to get out. This is not the first time I’ve given this feedback. Previous times because I was super early, I managed to ask for those seats that are placed horizontal to the glass door and avoiding the glare. Was Cow management - please take this feedback seriously and do something about it.
View on GoogleSo happy to be back at Waa Cow to eat their original bowl — always brings back happy memories hanging out with friends at NUS. Very lucky to try their truffle fries, which were crispy and fluffy. The winner was the truffle sauce which was subtle, rich and not overpowering. Legit flavour too. Great service too, for which I thank Siew Bin for being so warm and giving us a good time. Will be back! One of the rare places open in CBD on a Sunday :))
