Tried their Yama to Umi Kaisendon, a donburi inspired by the viral Tsujihan donburi in Tokyo. There are three different options to choose from, each named after a different mountain in Japan. The basic Mount Omoto ($19.90) features fresh tuna, hamachi, hokkigai, ika, salmon, mekajiki, amaebi, and hotate, all served over perfectly cooked short-grain white rice, with a side of hamachi sashimi in goma-miso sauce. We had: 🌟 Mount Kita ($29.90) 🌟 Mount Fuji ($49.90) with the addition of uni Both came with extra zuwaigani and ikura. Personally, I recommend Mount Kita as the portion is really filling. Go for Mount Fuji if you’re craving some uni and extra slices of hamachi sashimi. You get to enjoy one dish in multiple ways - first, mix the raw sashimi don with soy sauce, then pour piping hot yuzu broth over the rice, turning it into a light and refreshing ochazuke with cooked sashimi. 🌟 Chirashi $26.90 An assortment of thick-cut fresh sashimi, definitely value for money! 🌟 Aburi Salmon Mentai Udon $19 Creamy mentai, torched over salmon sashimi, set atop thin and slightly chewy udon. Perfect for mentaiko, ikura, and udon lovers. 🌟 Gyoza $9 Crispy deep fried dumplings with juicy filling inside. 🍵 Green Tea $1.20 (refillable) Oh, and don’t be mistaken, this isn’t a standing restaurant. We dined comfortably with proper seating, and it’s pretty chill to dine here on a weekend. Just take note that the Marina One outlet is closed on Sundays!

I ordered a premium Chirashi Don, Ten Don, Ika Karaage and Salmon Wing. I would give the quality of the food an 8/10, but what made it really good was most of the things I ordered were 50% off, which made it extremely worth it. Service was good for me unlike what other reviewers say. The staff were attentive and were quick to clear the empty plates. One complaint I have is that the tables are really close together and I was basically side-by-side with the person next to me. Overall I would recommend this place for anyone who wants quality Japanese food without breaking the bank.

Truly deteriorated after I gave the initial review. I order their sashimi platter at least once every 2 weeks. The standard is like rollercoaster - when it’s fresh - it’s amazing. When it’s bad - the sashimi is mushy and you can absolutely tell it’s been around for a while and stale. So far it has been 50:50 in getting bad sashimi. The management also ignore your feedback and make no effort to rectify the poor quality. So I have stopped ordering from them totally. Best quality sashimi in Singapore. I’ve only ever ordered the food online. This is the 3rd time I placed my order for sashimi and Wagyu beef. Glory who was fronting the online orders recognized my repeat patronage. She made the experience special even though it’s an online order. I had Sakura sashimi set and Wagyu steak - I definitely felt they put in extra effort to my order - the steak portion was generous and well executed, they gave me a fantastic portion of Otoro - the marbling on the sashimi - the photo speaks for itself. Honestly, I am very particular about my sashimi - having tried many high-end Japanese restaurants locally and abroad. This is one of the best cuts of sashimi (thick slices, freshness, sashimi quality) - for the price I paid $62 for 21 slices - absolutely worth every penny.

Tried the aburi omakase set and it was great value! $88 for 9 pc of quality aburi sushi, a grilled item (ours was a big grilled prawn), miso soup. Will come back to try other items in the menu!
