Comforting dishes, and manager was helpful with birthday cake arrangement post meal. We tried san lou bee hoon, hot plate tofu, chilli crab prawns (I wish there were mantou to wipe the sauce!), prawn paste wings and complementary abalone kampong chicken soup. Pretty packed (with big group families) on a Friday evening.
View on GoogleGood food at affordable prices — definitely value for money! 🍽️💰 The dishes are satisfying and consistently decent, making it a popular spot for meals. 👍😋 However, the place is usually pretty noisy, so it can be quite difficult to hold proper conversations while dining. 🔊😅 Better suited for quick meals rather than long chats. #GoodFood #AffordableEats #ValueForMoney #NoisyButLively #CasualDining 🍜✨
View on GoogleLove the sweet and sour pork, it’s crispy and not too dry. The taste not too sweet nor sour. 3 eggs spinach was ok too, the taste of the century egg did not overpower the dish. Hot plate tofu and pork belly bun was nice too. The san lou bee hoon look good but it too salty. 4 of us also agreed so probably the chef could have a better control on the salt/soya sauce.
View on GoogleThis is a warm, family friendly spot that delivers on comfort food. While the portions may look modest at first they’re filling. The flounder fish stood out for its tenderness. The salted egg prawn was a highlight too, with a fragrant aroma and a satisfying salted egg flavour. We loved the bee hoon, it had wok hei, giving it that smoky depth. The black pepper stir fried beef was tender and well seasoned. To end the meal on a refreshing note, we had the melon sago, which was balanced with just the right level of sweetness.
View on GoogleBraised Toufu - taste just nice. Stir-fried pork rib - total 4 pieces. Only 1 more crispy. The rest of the difficult to cut. Feel is not properly cook as 4 pieces not balance taste. Braised pork belly - not bad. Goes well with rice as it will be quite salty if eat alone with this. San Lou bee Hoon - don't recommend. Too oily and not balance taste. I have tried this dish more than 10 times at different places but this score lowest.
