Best Peking duck I’ve had in sg. They also show you the duck and slice in in front of you which was very good . The crispy top layer was especially tasty. Other dishes like vegetable and crispy fish was also notable but highlight was the duck Recommend you pre order the duck to make sure you don’t miss out
View on GoogleVisited Imperial Treasure Super Peking Duck recently as part of a dinner gathering and, unfortunately, the experience didn't quite live up to the expectations created by its reputation and pricing. Extremely overpriced for the quality. Naturally, it would be unfair to directly compare it to some of the exceptional Peking duck restaurants I visited during my time in Beijing and Shanghai, where the dish is deeply rooted in culinary tradition. That said, given the restaurant's positioning and the emphasis placed on its "Super Peking Duck", I still expected something more memorable. The duck itself was decent, but not particularly remarkable. The skin had a satisfying crispness, but beyond that, it didn't offer anything especially distinctive. The meat was slightly on the dry side, and overall the dish lacked the wow factor I was hoping for. We were also recommended to order one of the individual set menus. Unfortunately, that proved to be another area of disappointment. Many of the dishes felt reliant on premium, old-school luxury ingredients such as cod fish and sea cucumber, but the execution simply didn't justify the price point. On paper, the ingredients sounded impressive. On the plate, however, most dishes felt surprisingly underwhelming and failed to leave much of an impression. The environment was probably one of the stronger aspects of the evening. The restaurant is beautifully maintained, very clean, and offers comfortable seating throughout. It feels refined and polished, which is certainly part of what guests are paying for. Service was friendly and professional overall. However, I found it to be largely reactive rather than proactive. Requests were handled politely when made, but there wasn't much anticipation of guest needs. For example, simple things like refilling tea generally required us to initiate the request rather than staff noticing and acting on their own. Overall, a pleasant dining environment and courteous service, but the food ultimately fell well short of the expectations set by the restaurant's reputation and premium pricing.
View on GoogleThe food was excellent. Good place to have pecking duck nicely served. The meat tender and superb. Recommended!
View on GoogleFirst time at the restaurant with my family, got the private room! Note: for <6 pax you can’t reserve private room through the website and have to call them Food was amazing and the waitress who attended to us and served the food was very friendly. Wait time for food was just nice, food dishes came in the specified order. However it seemed like service quality was not consistent across staff. I was also charged an extra $5 for “pickles” even though we requested not to have the walnuts at the start of the meal. We were given an option to check the bill, but only realised on the way home. Overall a great experience and will definitely return to try their other items!
View on GoogleFood and services’ standards are strangely dissimilar between Asia Square outlet and Paragon outlet. The recent experience at Asia Square was lacklustre compared to an earlier experience at Paragon outlet. On the weekends, it seems like Asia Square outlet is much less visited when we were there. Food wise, the Peking duck meat felt more stiff, more oily and less tender as compared to the Paragon outlet. The rest of the dishes such as cabbage were also less spectacular and the plating was also less pretty. Not sure why there’s a disparity. Service wise, there was limited attention at the table and less personable and friendly as compared to Paragon as well. The relevant staff (particularly the managers) were available but more reactive around request based service - you don’t feel like you are enjoying service. Paragon staff were really more helpful and active with a smile on their face even if they were busy. Disclaimer - this is only based on 1-1 comparison based on different visits. All in all, I’d strongly recommend to try only the Paragon outlet - and don’t bother with the Asia Square one. (Note: I’d give 5 stars for the Paragon outlet)
