Hands down the best plant-based spot in the Marina Link underground corridor! eggplant delivers Zi Char flavors with a cozy, sleek ambiance that makes dining in a complete treat. The Eggplant: Absolute star of the meal—crispy on the outside, melt-in-your-mouth tender on the inside, and tossed in a deeply savory, balanced sauce without feeling greasy. Zi Char Bowls: Packed with flavorful, wok-hei options that hit all the right savory notes. Generous portions and packed with bold taste. I love their crispy mushrooms! Atmosphere & Service: Beautiful, comfortable setting to sit back and relax, paired with quick, welcoming service. Whether you're a vegetarian or just craving top-notch Zi Char, this place is a must-try!

The ordering process is straightforward. They offer four bases, complemented by a selection of vegetarian dishes. However, seats are limited.

Jun 2026 review: Full vegetarian place. Now they do not have loyalty card anymore. For month of June 2026, they have free 1 dish, so if you order petite (which is 3 dishes + base), you can order total 4 dishes. If you order regular (which is 4 dishes + base), then you can order total 5 dishes. Portion is not much as they just fit into 1 bowl. Seats, as usual, still squeezy and small. Apr 2026 review: Seats not spacious enough. Quite squeezy. Not alot of seats available too. They have 2 options. 3 toppings and 4 toppings. 4 toppings ($9.90) seem not very worthy, as the portion of toppings are quite little. Noodle base is cold too, cause its already prepared on small individual plates. The staff just pour in the bowl as base. They have loyalty card but dont actively give. So if you eat there often, remember to get 1 card.

Quite a clean and soothing environment. The food display looks delicious and appealing, which is why I decided to try it. I ordered the kung po monkey mushrooms with rice, but it tasted quite normal and not as good as expected. There were only a few small pieces of mushroom, with a bit of gravy, making it hard to finish with the rice due to the limited ingredients. Although it came with an egg, there still wasn’t much to pair with the rice. Overall, the food quality was very average.
