As an Indian food enthusiast, I can confidently say the quality here is exceptional. The naan, especially, is a standout – possibly the best I have ever had. We enjoyed grilled prawns and lamb shank, and the rare treat of roasted papadum. Fantastic food and a wonderful atmosphere.

Super popular Indian joint in Lau Pa Sat that’s always crowded and serves tasty food at affordable price. The best thing to order here is the set menu which comes with options for veg, non-veg; the same goes for kebab menu as well. The service is fast, it’s not a sit down place it’s more of quick casual dining. I would recommend this place!

Urban Roti and Grill in Lau Pa Sat, Singapore, is known for its flavorful North Indian dishes like Dal Makhani and garlic naan. The restaurant offers quick, affordable meals with popular set menus. The ambiance is casual and inviting, and service is typically fast, though it can vary. Portions are generous, making it good value for money. Overall, it's a popular spot for enjoying Indian cuisine in a modern setting.

Masala Kulcha ($6 / portion) We ordered 2 portions worth to share, and it's essentially a stuffed bread cooked in claypot. I liked that their bread was really soft and easy to eat, and definitely great as a side to pair with our gravy. Butter chicken ($15) Just look at how THICK this is!! Absolutely loved how it isn't watery, and was so flavourful and creamy I loved it. Chicken was also tender, and definitely great to pair with naan or kulcha. Dhal makhani ($14) This is actually made with Dal (lentils) and kidney beans, so it's know to be a "healthier" dish as a good source of vegetarian protein. As a fan of beans, I definitely enjoyed this one, and it's less thick in terms of texture, making the "gravy" easier to "scoop up" when you pair with naan. Garlic naan ($5.50) Loved that their garlic naan is really fragrant and flavourful! There were chopped cooked garlic bits, so you won't get those undesired spicy garlic flavour. Paneer tikka (2 way) ($14) You gotta try their paneer here as a starter! It might not be the best I've tried, but it's defo one of the better ones! 2 way just means you get a combination of red and green cottage cheese cooked in claypot. Both were good w a slight smokey flavour, and you have dips if the sauce on the paneer isn't enough for you. Definitely worth a try, and I'd recommend reserving as it gets pretty crowded with some walking in and finding themselves with no seats available!
