Finally made my way to Satay Street at Lau Pa Sat, one of Singapore’s most iconic night dining experiences. When the road closes in the evening and the smoke from charcoal grills fills the air, the atmosphere instantly feels lively and unmistakably local. We decided to try Stall 7 & 8, easily the most popular ones with long queues forming quickly. Naturally, expectations were high. The satay arrived fresh off the charcoal grill — slightly charred on the edges, juicy inside, and coated with a nicely caramelized glaze. The peanut sauce was thick, nutty, and mildly sweet, complementing the smoky meat well. The ketupat and onions added that familiar balance. Is it the absolute best satay in Singapore? That’s debatable. But the combination of open-air dining, smoky aroma, and the buzzing CBD backdrop makes the experience memorable. Overall, Stall 7 & 8 deliver solid, well-grilled satay in a classic Singapore setting. Go for the vibe, enjoy the skewers, and soak in the atmosphere.

Bro this street has the vibes and taste. They say it's a tourist trap....kind of but it's worth the vibes. Satay 7 and 8 was amazing. The set A is 31 dollar but you can ask for lesser amount and it's 20 bucks. Makes more sense for couples. They are fast and tasty.

Went there and picked random stores with less lines to eat. Great Satay! It’s different from satay that I’ve eaten in Thailand. Tastes more like chinese shaokao. Even though it’s little expensive, i think it’s a must for tourist! We also tried chicken rice in the hawker but it was so-so.

Satay Street provided a brilliant final meal in Singapore with fast service at stalls 7 and 8, costing 33 Singapore dollars. Following a frustrating delay at the airport, we decided to head back into the city for one last meal. We arrived at Satay Street around 23:00, and the atmosphere was still incredibly lively despite the late hour. Based on popular TikTok recommendations, we specifically chose to visit stalls 7 and 8. This area is excellent for late-night dining and offers a very authentic outdoor experience that felt like the perfect conclusion to our holiday. The food certainly lived up to the hype, with everything having a great taste. The satay was perfectly charred, tender, and full of flavour. The ordering process was remarkably efficient for such a busy spot. We were given a buzzer to notify us when to collect our food, which meant we could find a seat and wait comfortably in the middle of the action. The service was very fast, ensuring we did not have to wait long for our order to be ready. Key highlights: - Ideal for late-night meals as we visited around 23:00. - Followed TikTok advice for stalls 7 and 8 and were not disappointed. - Efficient system where you are given a buzzer to collect your food. - Very fast service with no unnecessary delays or long queues. - Total cost was 33 Singapore dollars for a delicious and filling meal. - Great atmosphere for a final holiday experience. This was a brilliant way to end our trip.

A place where you can experience the unique atmosphere that is characteristic of Singapore. When buying Satay, you'll be approached by many staff, which can be a bit awkward, but you can buy it wherever you like. Everyone seems lively and happy.
