Was here for catch up and to celebrate birthday. Good size portion of the food, definitely very full from the meal, ordered steak, fish n'chips and roasted chicken. The fries are good portion for sharing. On the hindsight, think we might have been a little too ambitious after seeing the portion of the food, either that or age has caught up. The tentage in the middle of CBD was definitely a standout and interesting concept. It is a nice place to chill out after work for sure, pity that it was surrounded by buildings, a little more breezy would have added to the feel.
View on GooglePretty ambience, but the food is very average. Not sure why, but just for today, we cannot choose the sides for the main dish. Order truffle fries, it was very salty. Ordered the honey roasted chicken, but received a chicken chop look alike. Very average. No description in the menu that it will be served with honey mustard.
View on Google4 of us ordered pastas and 1 ordered a burger. All were fantastic beyond words. If any room for improvement: the pan fried pink salmon pasta which I ordered was too spicy. But I downed it all cuz it was just too good. Service was great too! It was my friend's birthday and the staff were more than happy to accommodate our celebration by bringing in our cake with smiles and a birthday song.
View on GoogleCame to support them during this Pandemic. Food is decent. Not the best. Had the pasta which was ok. My fren had the pork chop but it was a bit overcooked (thus 1 🌟 gone) Ice water served in nice metal cup. Coffee is ok. Would be better to come for dinner for a cooler environment.
View on GoogleSmack outside SCO Hall, seating is made up of couple long tables in alfresco setting (under shelter), with 1 sole giant cooler giving respite to diners from the afternoon heat. Meal size for rice bowls / pasta were more catered to ladies, even at the price points, but the lunch promo (free barley + $1 soup of day) managed to trick our stomach. Otherwise, we might have to head to nearby Shenton House or Dulcet for 2nd lunch. Shop also seems to sell some homemade DIY stuff e.g. hanging windvanes, wood coasters, rings etc. An odd setup indeed. For the prices and setting, hard to see this place keep up over time. And oh, we also spotted a 大白'吐'奶糖 pop up bubble tea store next door. Yes, you heard right 大白吐奶茶 it is (we did try as well, but was a super letdown).
