This restaurant is best accessed by car or taxi. Public transport would require a bit of walking. See parking tips. Lunch menu is mostly the Tingkat set, with some sides for sharing. The set has a fairly good choice of drink, side dishes and main meal. Pretty good value for money and filling enough. The buah keluak fried rice was not overly oily and the kerabu noodles was quite refreshing. Among the side dish choices, the cempedak and monkey head rendang as well as the wingbean with pomelo greens stood out more for flavour. For those who prefer non-spicy options, the honey soy pork belly and tamarind chicken are good to go. Dessert is quite limited. The kaya gula melaka tiramisu is deliciously soft and not excessively sweet.
View on GoogleMust have come on the wrong day. Disappointed with the food. Will not return. The only dish my dining companions gave the thumbs-up for was Duck Confit “Itek Sio” ($30); can’t go wrong with crispy duck. We sampled five cocktails, none we would recommend (Rewrite the Stars, Duck Soup for the Soul, Live Long & Prosper, Ready to Mingle, Pastime). Instead of anchoring on cocktail basics, they were diluted and/or depended on theatre. Buah keluak pork ribs ($30) was NOT fall-off-the-bone. We left half the portion uneaten. While restaurant labelled their sayur lodeh ($14) “traditional vegetable stew”, I was confused by the thick & overly sticky gravy; as if the dish had been reheated too many times. King oyster fritters ($13) & Ngor Hiang ($16) were easy to share. So was Nasi Ulam ($24). Winged bean & pomelo greens salad ($14) was enjoyable as it is rare.
View on GoogleUnique and satisfying dining experience! Their lunch set is pretty good value; sample a variety of small-portioned dishes and a main- drink included. It’s served in a pretty ornate tingkat container stack too - great for photos. Reasonably priced at about $20++, depending on whether you want to upgrade your side dishes. Dining area isn’t very big so make a reservation if you’re coming in a big group!

View on GoogleIt was our first time at Cherki, so we asked for some recommendations from the menu. All the dishes were delicious and packed with flavor, except for the kerabu crab noodles. The staff were very attentive and helpful 💙
