We ordered Set A which came with 6 prawns, 10 chicken and 10 mutton satay. The satay was decent at best. We had better at Satay by the Bay. Didn't think the prawns were very fresh, they were kind of mushy without much flavour. For the price, there are much better ones out there.
View on GoogleThis is a MUST when visiting Singapore! We were told about this specific location by multiple people during our trip and it lived up to all expectations. We went for the fixed menu which was a perfect amount for 2 people. The flavour was out of this world and the ambience was brilliant. While waiting for our food to be cooked we also walked around the market itself which was a brilliant experience.
View on GoogleArrived around 8:00 PM, and this was the busiest hawker stall with a long queue. The system was quite efficient. They gave a buzzer and we waited about 20 minutes. The grilled chicken was juicy and well-cooked, slightly on the sweet side. If you like sweeter flavors, you’ll enjoy it. The shrimp was really good and the highlight for me. Overall, good street food, but the chicken was a bit too sweet for my taste.
View on GoogleBeen here so sooo many times and they never disappoint. Yes this is in a very touristy place, but as a local, this is the best place to get satay from. Very nicely marinated meats, amazing peanut sauce, but also incredibly juicy prawns that are PEELED. Staff there are also very friendly and high-energy which adds to the atmosphere. Highly recommended!
View on GoogleThe service was friendly and fast, and the place was well-organized. For the taste, it might not suit every Indonesian palate. The beef satay tasted quite sweet, and the peanut sauce had a curry-like flavor which was a bit unusual for traditional Indonesian satay. However, everyone has different preferences and some people may enjoy this style. Also, for those visiting for the first time, please note that after eating, the trays should be returned to the collection station instead of being left on the table 😊
