Had one of the best meals and a wonderful birthday celebration here, the food & service was top notch. I liked the fact that you had an extensive choice from the Ala carte menu and could create your own Michelin fine dining experience with the dishes you fancy. The fruit cocktails and cakes were amazing too! Highly recommended!
View on GoogleWas just passing through, tired, looked through their menu, and was hooked by the Tartare of Tasmanian Ocean Trout with Hokkaido Scallop and Oscietra Caviar, decided to give them a try Seated by the bar, service I would say is already there at the top, but could be better, I will explain why Started off with In-Season Momo Peach Champagne Cocktail, lovely ✅ Next, Karatomari Ebisu Oysters, Highly recommended because even though it is off season, wow, perfect, the right amount of meat, texture was firm and fresh, creamy, taste of the sea, with a slight hint of lemon, perfect, would have ordered more ✅ Next, Hokkaido Uni, judging by the colour perhaps Bafun Uni? Yes again off season, but still was looking forward to it…to my surprise I was disappointed, instead of an intense sweet, rich, creamy, and bold umami mouthful, I was met with clean, light, and a mild flavour, making me think I was having Murasaki Uni but couldn’t be…so confused, disappointing, maybe it would be better during in-season months Next, the one I wanted to have, Tartare of Tasmanian Ocean Trout with Hokkaido Scallop and Oscietra Caviar here is my honest opinion: remove the scallops (which texture wise you would have confused it with squid, wierd, sweetness was gone too) remove the caviar (over-rated, doesn’t taste of Oscietra Caviar, too clean) remove the ponzu sauce (why ponzu??? It destroyed everything) you have a beautiful ocean trout that is the perfect balance of sweet and oily and umami, everything else on the plate destroys it you can have a tartare of ocean trout with lemon/yuzu foam served with chilled nori dashi and perhaps even serve the ocean trouts skin crisped up for texture, and it could even serve as the carrier of the tartare, and I would happily have that over what I was served, a dish to fix ❌ Lastly, Grilled Carabinero Shrimp, was surprised to find the Spanish Shrimp on the menu so decided to give it a try This is the part where service missed a step, if I’m spending a hundred on a prawn, and it is the famed Spanish Carabinero, it would have been nice to have seen the product/produce before it proceeds to get grilled Grilling would have been nice in front of me too, because honestly, the famed carabinero head fat, yeah it’s interesting because this Carabinero’s head fat, it’s thick and holds its shape like a paste, not something I have seen in Carabineros, maybe something is done to the prized head fat, but still taste good, overall 4/5, too much of the green stuff which I tried on the first bite, had to remove them But, here I would like the thank the service staff members for being comfortable enough to answer the questions I had with regards to the oysters, Uni, and the Carabinero Overall 4/5, would I visit again? Maybe if the tartare dish is fixed, and will visit during the in-season
View on GoogleAn absolutely exceptional experience at Waku Ghin. I’m genuinely surprised this restaurant isn’t consistently ranked as Singapore’s best — it truly deserves to be. From the moment we arrived, the service was nothing short of extraordinary. Puvi and Tristan went above and beyond, making my fiancé’s birthday incredibly special and memorable. It was, without a doubt, the best service we have ever experienced at any restaurant. Every detail of the evening was flawless — the food, the presentation, the atmosphere — all 10/10. Having dined at renowned venues such as Odette, CUT and Labyrinth, we can confidently say Waku Ghin surpasses them all. Photos simply don’t do it justice. As true food lovers who appreciate exceptional cuisine and cocktails, we were completely blown away. The level of service here is, in our opinion, unmatched anywhere in Singapore. If you’re visiting, this is an absolute must — put it at the very top of your list. We will definitely be back. Thank you for such a phenomenal evening.
View on GoogleAttentive and polite, Kimi made us felt very welcomed and comfortable throughout our dinner. He remembers our preferences and ensures that we are well taken care of. The place was well decorated and the food was excellent. Kimi was detailed in explaining the food that was in front of us. He was also very careful in ensuring that we had good angle of the food for taking photographs. We walked away with a satisfied tummy and an unforgettable experience. Perfect way to celebrate birthday! Thank you, Kimi!
View on GoogleI really like it. I’ve tried both the omakase and the à la carte options, and both were excellent experiences. My favorite was the island lobster with caviar — it was absolutely delicious. Whoever invented this dish is a genius!
