Hamburg set with savory dark sauce for lunch on Saturday. Happy belly after a hearty complete meal with delicious mushroom soup, salad, my favorite part of the set is a large piece of toasty baguette with strawberry jam & salted butter. Choice of hot/iced coffee, hot/iced tea or ice cream. Hamburg meat patty was juicy & tender. Enjoyed having my meal in the comfortable setting. Note: lunch ends at 3pm follow by Tea time serving only cakes & tarts. Recommend.

A calm, relaxing atmosphere with consistently good food. The beer is well chilled and about half the usual city price, which is a nice bonus. The menu was recently updated with more beef options—the signature beef tongue (200g for $15.80) is especially good and excellent value. Classic set meals like hamburg steak or tonkatsu, served with rice or bread and salad, are around $20 and remain reasonably priced. The restaurant is clean, and the staff are warm and attentive. They were also happy to move us when our table felt a bit cold under the air conditioner. A place I would happily recommend.

I was there for lunch and ordered the daily’s special menu. They first served a corn soup with salad. Later, I found a bug (the bug looks like “Peter” and still alive - if you know, you know) and reported to the staff. Later, they change they quickly change the new bowl of salad for me. The second menu was bread (when you ordere, they will ask if you wanted the main course with bread or rice, for drink/dessert- you can choose between tea and ice-cream) The third menu was the main course. Overall: - Food was good, enough portions and match with the value. The only reason I gave one ⭐️ for food is because of the cleanliness as I found bug inside my salad). - staff are super friendly as they greet us when we entering and checking out. Even though lunch time was very busy but they are well managed to serve the food at a certain wait time. - the reason I gave ⭐️ ⭐️ for atmosphere is that on top of the light, there are some certain amount of dust that obviously caught my attention. Because of what I found in the salad, they managed to give 30% discounts for the food on that day. Hope they improve those things.

I made a reservation for 13 pax. When I booked on 5 December, the staff promised to reserve the last section of the restaurant for us — a long table at the end, more contained and suitable for a group. Upon arrival, that area was already occupied, and I was told the staff who took my reservation didn’t note this down. I was also told the space fits 12 pax comfortably, not 13. Next was the cake/tart order. We were told what was left, placed our order accordingly, and somehow the one we wanted was later taken by another table. Two slip-ups before any food was even served. For food, I had the hamburger set and chose bread instead of rice. Portion was acceptable, but the baguette was very tough. As for the tarts, only one (pictured in this review) stood out. We also had the strawberry and Mont Blanc tarts, which were decent. Service was polite, but overall the experience was disappointing. I won’t be returning.

Not sure if they are lack of staffs or lack of table. But the service overall was very slow. Lack of tables understandable as we are a group of 6 and we came at ladies night. But after ordering, we had to wait 30 mins for our food to arrive. My friend is starving, she has to wait for the queue and the food to be served. Taste wise, not sure if it’s even worth the wait.
