Insanely small portion for a 28 bucks spring chicken. After feedback, staff offered dessert (which I don’t take) and fruits, and stopped there. Don’t eat here.

As you can tell from the photos, no vibe 🫤🥲 but the bartender was super chilled and nice! I didn’t feel welcomed from the Amara staff the moment I walked from the front entrance, passed by the dining area (one local Chinese-looking with tied-back long hair gave the glare as if I walked into her living room past her bedtime) to the Element (another staff with long hair and specs just pointed to the exit doors; vague direction when asked again). Their signage is confusing on where the bar area starts and ends; I thought the bar counter was closed. They should have an Element signage above the bar counter opening at the non-air conditioned area. At most, for the Hendrick’s Gin World Cucumber Day, the bartender was friendly even though the bar was about to close; and generous with the gin. He even supplied popcorns to go with the gin.

Visited the place again for the first time after 2 and a half years - and it has improved tremendously in terms of spread. Considering how there was a discount available, it was certainly a good deal. They are rather generous with quality oysters, lobsters and sashimi, and their desserts (e.g. creme brulee) were pretty good.

Had ala carte buffet dinner with friends. The menu , the choices were very limited. Sashimi there was only tuna & salmon. Oysters were alright. Tempura was lousy. Dessert was alright. Service staff was patient and polite. Until the regular buffet opens again, else nono.

The weekend Sat food was disappointed as compare to weekday Friday. Missing durian, chendol without red bean, fried rice not tasty, ice cream no sorbet....
