Always wanted to try this restaurant because it is highly recommended by friends. Never got a chance despite staying within 15min drive until today. We (my wife and my parents) went over for lunch. It was not crowded at all - maybe because it was a weekday afternoon. For most dishes - there is a choice between small and medium. I just selected small as we wanted to try as many dishes as possible. When the dishes arrived - they were larger than what I have expected. Really value for money! As for the taste - I think it didn’t disappoint and was really good. My wife commented “better than what we had in Malacca”. I dare say that today lunch was better than the peranakan lunch I had just a week ago at a famous restaurant. So highly recommended. And we will be going back again!
View on GoogleHave a small gathering dinner in this place, foods were very good, serving size also slightly bigger than those famous peranakan restaurants, make you feel more value for your money. Love the rendang and curry, very appetizing with rice. But the kangkong is not as appealing in comparison, so are the desserts. Overall still very enjoyable dinner, its a place you go in group or with family in order to enjoy variety of dishes.
View on GoogleVisited this Peranakan restaurant for a recent family dinner. Tried the Babi Pongteh, Ayam Buah Keluak, Beef Rendang, Udang Masak Nanas, Sambal Kang Kong, Nyonya Chap Chye, Nasi Kuning. For desserts, we tried Chendol, Pulut Hitam with Ice Cream, Bubur Cha Cha. I would say all the dishes we tried were very good, and we were very satisfied with the taste, presentation, serving size. My must-try picks are Babi Pongteh, Beef Rendang, Nyonya Chap Chye, Nasi Kuning, Chendol. As for Ayam Buah Keluak, it is an acquired taste, and it's not for me... But even so I found it pretty tasty. Overall, very satisfying meal, and will definitely visit again to try the other dishes.
View on GoogleMake reservation earlier. The moment you enter the restaurant, you can already smell the nice dishes. The prawn is especially nice with the little spicy paste. The pork might be a little too sweet. The food portion is just nice. Good service here and dishes were on our table in less than 10minutes we placed order.
View on GoogleRestaurant has downsize from my last visit but recently newly renovated which is nice. Unlike some F&B establishments, glad to note this place has maintained it's food quality and taste over the years. One of my to go restaurants in SG for Authentic Peranakan cuisines.
