Craftsman Coffee is a hit spot with premium coffee beans and well-balanced flavors, plus a full range of meals, pastries, ice cream, tea and beer. Its biggest highlight is nine varieties of matcha drinks. It has spacious indoor air-conditioned seating plus outdoor high stools (watch out for uneven floors). Many local students hang out here to study after school. We tried freshly fried fries with three dips, as well as floral matcha tea (well-balanced sweetness, slightly light on matcha). Clean restrooms made our short waiting visit really pleasant.
View on GoogleThe two young ladies at the counter today were really friendly and lovely. Helped us to secure seats so we had the opportunity to try out the specialty drinks and waffles. Loved it. Will be back for sure. Special thanks to the young Chinese lady with specs!
View on GoogleThe rosti with smoked salmon is a standout — beautifully crispy and perfectly seasoned. The truffle egg sourdough, however, fell short: truffle notes were barely there, and the sourdough lacked both texture and tang. The Craftsman’s Benedict was pleasant but unremarkable. The butter croissant is a must-order — light, airy, and rich with buttery aroma. Pain au chocolat is generously filled, and the foamy Baby Cino with mini marshmallows was a sweet hit with my girls. One downside: an unpleasant drain odor near the toilet area slightly affected the experience.
View on GoogleThis is the jam that they used. Enuff said. Average price of breakfast is $25. Haven’t had the nostalgic taste of 1980s 99% gelatin jam in a long time. Our child didn’t want to finish the chocolate muffin. lol. Poached eggs are like Xiao long Bao come with a surprise squirt of boiled water with vinegar reminder of someone’s tepid used bath water. Halloumi came with the surprise decision to batter it in overly salted batter because cheese isn’t already salted?? You’ve been warned. Everything else was lovely especially the staff who were on the ball and polite.
View on GoogleTo preface I mainly come here for waffles. They are beautifully generous with the toppings. I can definitely appreciate that. I normally get the chocolate nut banana. But the classic is a banger too (just waffle and butter and maple syrup). The waffle can be served with an ice cream of choice which I definitely recommend. The only thing is I’m quite sure this venue only has one waffle maker. So if you were to order multiple for a large group of simply because you have done a massive workout and need to fuel your body, or you haven’t done anything but want a sweet treat, you may have to wait slightly longer. Other locations may be faster. Theres a bathroom and plenty sitting spaces and aircon, which is always a bonus. Plenty drink options too as well as other typical breakfast and lunch foods.
