I have visited Amano with family and friends a couple of times. We have tried quite a number of starters, pizzas, and pastas, and it has been a mix of hits and misses. Our Favorite Hits: Starters: The prawn balls, breaded button mushrooms, and calamari are excellent choices to start the meal. Pizzas: You can't go wrong with the Meat Lover or the Prosciutto Ham. Pastas: The Crab Meat Pink Sauce with Fettucine/Capellini and the Beef Ragu Bolognese Fettuccine are absolute standouts. Desserts: Both the tiramisu and the warm lava cake are very well-executed. Most of the other pastas we tried were good, with the exception of the gnocchi. I prefer gnocchi with a firmer, chewier texture, but their version was a bit too soft. My daughter, who loves pesto sauce, was very disappointed with their Pesto Gnocchi. Not only was the texture too soft, but the distinct pesto flavour was almost non-existent. She rated the dish a 3.5 out of 10. To be fair, the flavour of the Braised Lamb Shoulder Gnocchi was actually quite good; it really is just the soft texture of the actual potato dumplings that lets it down. One of the biggest reasons to visit is their fantastic 1-for-1 pizza/pasta deal. It runs all day from Monday to Thursday, and during lunchtime from Friday to Sunday. It makes the entire dining experience incredible value-for-money. A solid 4-star spot if you order the right items!

A Masterclass in Rustic Italian Elegance Finding an Italian spot that perfectly bridges the gap between casual comfort and upscale refinement is a rarity, but Amano hits the bullseye! From the aroma of burning wood to the pristine execution on the plate, this is a neighborhood gem operating at a world-class level. The Food The kitchen at Amano clearly respects tradition while prioritizing bold, vibrant flavors. The standout of the night was the Crab Pasta—an absolute triumph. The pasta was cooked to a flawless al dente, tossing together generous, sweet lumps of fresh crab meat in a sauce that was beautifully balanced, rich, and deeply savory. We paired it with the Pepperoni Beef Pizza, which arrived with a spectacular wood-fired blister on the crust. The beef pepperoni offered a fantastic, deeply savory depth of flavor with just the right amount of spiced kick, avoiding the excessive grease that often plagues lesser pies. Ambience & Decor The decor strikes the perfect chord of european rustic sophistication. With its warm lighting, exposed textures, and thoughtful design elements, the space feels instantly welcoming yet undeniably chic. It also boasts a lively, convivial atmosphere that makes it just as perfect for an intimate date night as it is for a celebratory dinner with friends. Service The service was seamless from start to finish. The staff were warm, incredibly attentive, and possessed a genuine hospitality that made us feel right at home. Plates were cleared efficiently, water glasses were never left empty, and the pacing of the meal was spot-on—allowing us to relax and savor each course without feeling rushed. Final Verdict Amano delivers a flawless dining experience where exceptional food meets a magnetic atmosphere. If you appreciate honest ingredients executed with chef-level precision, this place demands a spot on your regular rotation. Highly recommended!

Had a weekday lunch at Amano and ordered the Carbonara and Capellini with Prawns. They’re currently running a 1-for-1 deal on pizza or pasta from Monday to Thursday, with selected timings on Friday and Saturday (see photo). Quick take on the cheese, people always say you can tell it’s good when it has that strong, slightly “smelly” aroma. Honestly, there’s some truth to it 😄 If you enjoy bold, pungent cheeses like I do, you’ll probably like what they’re serving here. One thing I didn’t quite like: the spaghetti came short, almost like it had been snapped in half before cooking. Personally, I prefer my pasta long and whole, just feels more right. The capellini wasn’t really my thing, but my wife enjoyed it. We also took away two pizzas, Margherita and Quattro Formaggi. The Quattro Formaggi literally means “four cheeses,” so it’s a richer, cheesier pizza made with a blend of different cheeses, giving it a deeper and more complex flavour compared to the simpler Margherita. Both were flavourful, though they use a thicker, bread-style base. I personally prefer a thinner crust, but that’s just my taste.

Highly recommended GEM! A lot of 1-4-1 deals! Only tried the pizza but it’s super cheesy, rich and gooey! Downside: abit hot cause of their pizza oven! Definitely going again to try the pasta and steaks! Wine not deals , “pricey” , not great.

A good Sunday dinner! The battered mushrooms, Italian meat balls and salad was a nice start to the meal. We also ordered some pastas and the meat lovers pizza! Omy!!!! It was fantastic. We have been ordering their Christmas dinners as well for the past few years. Food is always fresh and yummy. So glad to enjoy the dinner this evening as well. We will be back.
