Pau and Dim Sum not bad here but highly recommending the Ban Mee here! their Dry U Mee is so good, the sauce is delicious and the noodles are bouncy and soaks up the sauce. the Dry Mee Hoon Kueh version and the handpulled pieces very chewy. have tried both the dry and soup version, prefer the dry as a small bowl of soup is given as well. love that each bowl comes with generous amount of ingredients every time, minced meat, meatballs, fried ikan bilis, vegetable and black fungus. also recommending their delicious chilli to pair with the dry version. will continue to visit for a delicious bowl of ban mee!

After ordering and we started eating, 1 of us felt some droplets touching his head then we realised the guy (i assume who is the boss or store manager) was cleaning the metal rack with a towel. We noticed stains started appearing on the table next to our food as well. We told the guy we wanted to change our food in case chemicals get mixed into our food. We ended up getting charge twice for the food… The guy did not even apologise and kept quiet throughout. Cups were also dirty. Food is meh, would not recommend.
View on GoogleA place for Dim Sum quick fix. $17 for 4 dim sum dishes, an ice kopi and prawn chee chong fun. Consider reasonable.
View on GoogleI always thought affordable neighborhood dim sum places don't exist anymore, and then I stumbled upon Lai Kee. It's a small dim sum place (restaurant would be too grand a word) in Toh Yi HDB estate. The space is tight but tidy, and I admire them for providing such an extensive menu of dim sum items, noodles and drinks at such affordable prices while not being inside a hot crowded food court. Service was prompt and friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Is this the best dim sum I've tried in my life? Clearly no! But for the price I paid and the neighborhood vibes (you see aunties catching up with friends, uncles reading Straits Times), I will gladly be back again.
