We ordered malatang and it was pretty flavourful! Ingredients are also really fresh. It’s not cheap but in my opinion the price is reasonable (cheaper than zhangliang). And the fact we managed to finish everything we ordered says alot! Staff also attended to us quickly and helped to keep our bags in their storeroom as there wasn’t enough space. Also gave us rice FOC as they said the rice was no longer hot. Love their attitude :) They even helped to heat up the rice for us! Tried their skewers which was alright, think the malatang stands out more as compared to the skewers. Will come back again if I’m in the area!
View on GoogleTheir chicken skewers are always very good and value for money. I wouldn’t recommend the dry mala, as it’s not as good as the soup version. Previously, there was no GST or service charge, so I’m not sure why they are now charging 9% GST without informing customers.
View on GoogleI am leaving this review due to two separate incidents involving cockroaches during my visits. Incident 1 (13 February 2026): During dinner, we noticed cockroaches under all six tables we shifted to. Despite informing the staff, they continued seating customers at those tables without addressing the issue. After discussing the matter with the manager the following day, they agreed to perform a thorough cleaning and offered compensation, which I appreciated. Incident 2 (13 May 2026): Unfortunately, during my visit today, I found a cockroach inside my food. It appeared to have been cooked with the meal, which is absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. I have attached photos for reference. I hope the management takes these issues seriously to improve hygiene standards in the future. Update: spoke to management and he just came up with stupid excuses. Did not even provide an apology LOL
View on Googlefriend said this place was nice so decided to come here to give it a try. the malatang soup tasted similar to Gong Yuan Mala Tang which was salty enough, but the dry version tasted very average. 3 person ate about $50+ for 1.3kg, what i like most is the chicken skewers as it tasted flavourful. will most probably come back for the skewers but not the mala. [Update]: they start charging 9% GST without informing the customers, else I wouldn't have top up so much into their membership. Use to love this place because of no gst and service charge.... and the malatang today was very disappointing, noodles and broccoli overcooked to the point it almost turned mushy and soft, felt a little regret coming here to eat now.
View on Googlehonestly i quite liked CJ mala but after this incident i couldn’t bring myself to order it ever again. i got takeaway pickup via one of the platform. after 5mins into drinking and eating my malatang i spotted this insect in my soup. SO GROSS. idk this looks like some mosquito?? or drain insect?? whatever it is… that killed my appetite. threw away the whole bowl and won’t be patronising them again. my biggest turn off with food is finding insects and foreign objects in my food… what a pity, their soup was pretty good tho. just that hygiene and cleanliness is a bit doubtful..
