Recommended by a YouTuber to this, and thought it was a pretty decent chicken rice in general. 🍲 the soup was surprisingly good, more like a vegetable one rather than a chicken variant, which is good for cleansing the palette 🍗 the chicken was rather generous in portion, with a rather average price tag of $12 for our 2 portions of breast and drumstick - chicken was cooked well too, texture was good and not too tough 🌶️ the chilli leaves that spicy kick in my stomach after having it, guess it might be considered spicy overall A solid plate of chicken rice, prompt service and no frills.

Used to be the best chicken rice in the west but the standards dropped drastically. Chicken no longer tender, rice aroma no more, only the prawn fritter taste the same. It’s losing out to Boon Tong Kee which is so so now as well. Would not recommend here anymore. Crowd no longer here anymore as well.

Chicken rice is a tad expensive at $9.80 for an individual chicken rice portion with additional meat and a braised egg. They served white chicken with yellow skin and it seems to be kampung chicken but with little meat. Taste wise it is actually quite good with tender meat and flavourful with all the condiments. Atmosphere wise, it is just a corner coffee shop at Beauty World

Really good chicken rice here. Popular stall in the area. Appreciated that the soy seasoning was light which allowed the natural flavours of the kampong chicken to shine. Chicken was smooth but retained a good bite, not falling apart tender. The rice was fluffy and aromatic with a clean chicken stock flavour without being oily. The soup was the same, not just msg water. Chili was fresh, like a puree. Not cutting corners with the watery stuff. Only small negative was that beansprouts ($5) were a bit overcooked for my taste. Prefer them slightly crunchy. The coffee shop was small but airy, only half full on a Sat 11.30am. A lot of people buying takeaway too tho. Paid $19.50 for 2 pax portion, 2 rice and beansprouts. Not the cheapest but worth the quality in my view.

Quite sad to say that the negative reviews were quite accurate. Chicken was flavourless, lots of bone chips which got annoying when some kept getting stuck in my teeth and I had to constantly be mindful of it while eating. Prawn roll was mostly flour, taste wise quite okay. Now the cake on top, saw a small cockroach running across the table 😔
