Really enjoyed the breakfast here! The breakfast sandwiches were delicious, with just the right amount of sauce, soft and fresh bread, and good-quality ingredients. The coffee was great too — I tried the sesame latte and it was surprisingly good! It is a little on the pricey side for breakfast, but the food and coffee were definitely worth trying. Weekend it’s a long line - but we came on the weekday and it’s an easy walk-in.
View on Googlehad such a lovely weekend brunch here at Breakfast Grill 🥰 been wanting to visit this spot since their early days at joo chiat, thanks for opening a branch in the west! we ordered the surf & turf sammie, which came with a wagyu beef patty and prawn patty, sandwiched between perfectly toasted brioche slices. loved the black pepper onion slaw!!! this was super hearty and substantial, 10/10 sandwich 🫶🏼 i believe the USP of this place is their sammies, but wow the drinks here really impressed us too. my partner and i ordered one drink for the each of us, and ended up ordering another halfway through our meal bc it was just THAT good. the matcha latte was really comforting, giving this a solid 9/10 - props to them for perfecting the latte art ❤️ tried my partner's iced latte and i was SOLD - their coffee is hella robust! i ordered their iced dirty matcha next, and even though i got it without sugar and it still came a little sweet. really enjoyed this - might be my go-to spot for dirty matcha from now on 😌 i happened to pick a seat where i could watch the barista make drinks, which made the experience even nicer. i caught them making a hojicha latte and it was so satisfying to watch! i also noticed them male barista topping up the matcha lattes with more milk at the end so the cups were filled right to the brim - such a thoughtful little touch 🥹 shoutout to him for posing for my video (towards the end) as well HAHA. besides their top notch food & drinks, the service was one of the highlights for me too :) the waiters were smiley, warm and friendly, and I really appreciated the small touches, like how our cups of water were refilled automatically without us having to ask 🫶🏼 overall, i really enjoyed the lively vibes, friendly service, amazing sandwiches and really solid coffee/matcha here. can defo see myself returning in a heartbeat 🙂↔️
View on GoogleA charming little café with a relaxed atmosphere and excellent brunch options. The fluffy scrambled eggs were beautifully done, the avocado toast was fresh and generous and the fish sandwich was crisp, hearty and full of flavour. The Caesar salad was equally satisfying, while the coffee was smooth and well-balanced. Friendly service but could be more attentive. Cosy setting make Breakfast Grill a lovely spot to start the day.
View on GoogleThe pasta and Classic Brekkie were really good definitely the highlight! But the hojicha drink was a letdown, and the pastry… honestly looked much better in the photo than in real life. Overall, still a nice spot to try, but a bit of a hit-and-miss experience.
View on Googletoasts were pretty ok - portions are good for the toasts but i’ve had better flavour elsewhere such as prairie by craftsmen. sesame latte was surprisingly good - with the colour i thought it’ll be diluted but the sesame taste really came through. it wasn’t hot enough though, it came lukewarm. what was disappointing was the udon… taste is not bad and very generous with the tobiko but $18 bef extra charges for 1 prawn? really? that’s what’s not worth.
