One of the traditional, solid chicken rice options that has been one of the longer serving stores on this stretch. You know you can always stop by for a reliable and solid chicken rice. Besides that they do have other great dishes too. Both alfresco and indoor seating options. Taste of the chicken rice is always reliable and fantastic.

Chicken is rather tasty maybe leaning towards Cantonese poached than hainanese? Quite a smaller chicken and even ordering half doesn't fill you up but the chicken is very tender. Rice is fragrant. Service is ok but rather pricey.

Chicken rice was rather delicious. Nontheless, i felt that the portion of rice given was a tad smaller than the other outlets that I had patronise before. Steam egg was good too. Will definitely come back to try the other food options that they have to offer.

A visit to Boon Tong Kee is always a solid choice when it comes to classic Singaporean comfort food, especially for their well-known chicken rice. I ordered their signature chicken rice along with sweet and sour pork, paired with a simple iced water. The chicken rice definitely lived up to expectations—the chicken was tender, smooth, and nicely poached, with that signature silky texture. The rice itself was fragrant and flavorful, infused with chicken broth, garlic, and a subtle hint of ginger that makes each bite satisfying. The chili sauce and ginger paste on the side elevated the dish even more, giving it that extra punch of spice and aroma. The sweet and sour pork was a good complement to the meal. The pork pieces were crispy on the outside while remaining juicy inside, coated in a well-balanced sauce that wasn’t overly sweet. It had just enough tanginess to keep the dish appetizing without being too heavy, making it easy to pair with the rice. The overall dining experience was pleasant. The atmosphere was comfortable and casual—great for both quick meals and small gatherings. Service was efficient and attentive, with staff handling orders smoothly even during busier periods. Price-wise, it leans slightly towards the higher side for chicken rice, but the quality, consistency, and dining environment justify it. Overall, a satisfying and reliable meal. A great spot to enjoy a classic local favorite done right. 4/5 ⭐

The food wasn't terrible, but it's quite disappointing as they don't offer taro desserts like the one in Chinatown. I was amazed by the Chinatown outlet, only to discover that not all outlets are uniformly good
