One of the best fish soup I had so far. The portion of the fish is generous and it's thick. Soup is tasty yet isn't too salty. And the rice is cooked well. Some places they serve poorer quality rice that's hard and grainy. This is my go to for fish soup in this area.

Better than I thought. Quite generous amount of eggs given. Soup is plain, better to mix with the eggs Roughly 5 pieces of fish. Can't ask for more at $6.50 price point. Would order fish soup + another item next time.

Got the No.2 Sliced fish soup, the soup tasted pretty decent i would say and it comes with 5 slices of fish. for $6.50 i would say it's still alright but can add a little bit more ingredients as there's only the noodle, few pieces of veg and fish. They close on the dot at 7.30pm

I visited the stall on a quiet Saturday for late lunch and was the only patron. At first glance, the empty stall looks like it is closed for the day. It turned out that a single crew was manning three stalls in a row, ranging from drinks, ban mee to this fish soup. Impressed by the use of premium grouper, I ordered a mixed fish soup with yee mian for $9. While there was a minor hiccup with my order, the crew quickly resolved the issue. The soup itself was flavourful and the fish, while not the freshest I've had, was still decent. The fried grouper was particularly good, with a light and crispy batter. The generous portion of fried egg floss and perfectly cooked yee mian added a nice touch. While this style of fish soup may not be the traditional Teochew-style fish soup I prefer, it's still worth trying if you're in the area. PS: As I was leaving, I overheard a patron making an absurd request: he had forgotten to collect his order from the previous day and wanted the crew to prepare a new one. Surprisingly, the crew obliged. This incident highlighted the challenges faced by hawker stall owners today, and I commend the crew's dedication to customer satisfaction.

Came by during lunch hour and ordered Dual fish soup (consist of both fried and fresh slice fish) with rice. There are various details going into the soup which makes it taste of a nice mildly sweet fish soup with the flavour coming from I believe is the dried sole fish. The fried fish comes in big chunks, probably twice the size compared to normal stalls. It could be that it was late, the outer layer is a little tough despite having soak in soup for a while. However the seasoning makes it a nice chunk to chew. I enjoyed the slice fresh fish more, it has this nice firm bite, smooth and you can taste the sweetness of the fish. Plus the soup comes with some greens and the fried egg is definitely a crowd favourite.
