Went to Bukit Timah Interim Food Centre for lunch and was walking around looking for something a little different when I spotted Ah Mei Traditional Hometown Noodle 啊妹古早家乡面. I ordered their Signature Homemade Minced Meat Mee Pok with Curry, and specially requested to swap one of the meatballs for a fishball. The overall taste was really interesting. Imagine Malaysian-style dry noodles tossed in a dark sauce, paired with a ladle of curry gravy poured over — two flavour profiles coming together in one bowl. The combination of chilli sauce and curry sauce gave the noodles a nice spicy kick without either overpowering the other. The pork meatballs felt more like factory-made ones, but the fishball looked handmade, judging from its uneven shape. That said, once you add pork lard and minced pork into the mix, everything came together nicely with that familiar comforting richness. If you’re looking to try something a little different from the usual noodle bowls, this is worth giving a shot. #AhMeiHometownNoodle #啊妹古早家乡面 #BukitTimahEats #HawkerFood #MeePok #CurryNoodles #LocalEats #SGFoodies #TraditionalFlavours #ComfortFood #FoodieSG #SingaporeHawkers #mealsphotos

I recently visited this charming eatery specifically to try their curry mee, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations! From the first mouthful, the rich, aromatic curry broth captivated my taste buds. It was perfectly balanced—not too spicy, yet bursting with layers of delightful flavors that were both comforting and satisfying. The noodles were cooked to perfection, tender yet springy, absorbing the luscious curry broth beautifully. Authentic and memorable curry mee experience, look no further. This place undoubtedly serves one of the best bowls in town. I'm already looking forward to my next visit and highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates genuinely flavorful Malaysian cuisine!

Finally found a dry noodle that’s truly special! The dark soy sauce is super fragrant, with a hint of rich curry.Toppings like fresh baby prawns, char siu, and crispy bits made every bite amazing. Absolutely loved it! Highly recommend!
