Been supporting this stall for over 15 years since their first stall in the old shophouse at Upper Bukit Timah! They have been serving authentic Penang fare for many years until now @ the interim market. Their prawn noodle soup is so flavourful with strong umami taste, while also being light and not too jelak. I always get kuay teow beehoon which is the best combination of soft silky noodles. The char kuay teow is so smoky and savoury with hints of sweetness, so delicioso with wok hey and lots of ingredients DAMN GOOD 😋 guys trust ✌️ Recently they started selling Assam laksa too, and it’s really hard to find good Assam laksa in sg without it being heavily overpriced. But I can say for certain that it’s really one of the best, bc the noodles are nice and chewy and the fish broth is sour and spicy with lots of fresh veg inside! The aunty and uncle are also very friendly and cute 😭❤️

I was here today for brunch and I ordered a $5.50 Penang Char Kway Teow with $1.50 add-on of cockles. The Char Kway Teow was good with lotsa wok hei and flavourful. The cockles sadly were "tiny" (after frying?). The help yourself to the lard croutons was nice - although I found the lard croutons to be tad salty. However overall I was pleased with the food from this stall - in future, I will try to remember to ask for the add-on cockles to be served "raw.

The portion is fist-sized and costs $6, which I found a bit steep. Unfortunately, the taste didn't quite hit the spot, maybe because it's Malaysian-style. Oh well, just a normal breakfast.

Ooo… oddly enough, first time getting this Penang CKT. There was a queue as I got there… but they were pretty fast. Ordered takeaway lunch and next up might be the Assam Laksa. Then again maybe not? Everyone was just ordering plates after plates of the Penang CKT So how was it? I ordered the small portion, $5.50 per packet. Looked small But hahaha… was filling and satisfying enough. Prawn was succulent, and everything was fragrant, tasty and just about enough chilli and wok hei to get you to wallop everything asap. Overall very balanced and authentic as I remember… just need duck eggs uncle. I know tough to find, but it’s very close already 😊☺️ 🫵🏼👍🏼 Paiseh, my photos don’t do enough justice to the Png CKT. 😓😅
