Had lunch today at De Golden Spoon Seafood with a few comrades, and the overall experience was a very pleasant one. The food was good, the dishes were nicely presented, and everything was cooked with care. Nothing felt sloppy, and you could tell the kitchen knows what it is doing. The flavours were balanced, the dishes were enjoyable, and the whole meal was satisfying. The service was also good. The staff were friendly, attentive, and the dishes were served at a comfortable pace, which made the meal feel relaxed and enjoyable. What surprised me was that the lunch crowd was not particularly big. With food and service like this, the place feels a little underrated. We were enjoying the food and conversation so much that I even forgot to take a photo of the dessert. Overall, this is a nice place for a casual gathering with friends, good food, and a comfortable dining atmosphere.
View on GoogleTried this restaurant for the 2nd time on Sunday night. The queue is not as long as Por Kee. Quality of food is ok. Tried their pork rib coffee, salted prawn and claypot toufu. All taste above average. Price is rather reasonable since it has air cond condition.
View on GoogleI was there celebrating a birthday with 2 tables of close family members. The space is tight and service was under served as there are a small group of servers. We have to keep calling for staff to take order. What we wanted was wrongly taken but we accepted it as we do not want to waste time. Our coffee rib - one table came with burnt ribs n the other was salty. Crabs was not fresh, prawn cereal was a little wet this making it not crispy. The most frustrating is the food don't come in sequence but ad hoc as if what the cook done, it will then served. So guess, big there are 5 same order but for different tables, then the food is served (at their mercy). Fried mee sua was bland n tasteless. Vegetables was served last. Not much pic here on the food as it was served in array as in rushing. Hi
View on GoogleCelebrated CNY here and was impressed by the quality of the festive menu. The yu sheng had a great balance of sweetness and crunch, the fish was tender, and the prawns were fresh and juicy. Each course was served promptly and piping hot. What stood out was how well the kitchen managed the timing, even though the restaurant was full. Service staff were attentive and quick to refill tea and clear plates. Overall, a satisfying reunion dinner experience. Worth booking early!
View on GoogleBooked here to host my overseas guest. Seafood was fresh and the rest of the dishes were nicely done. Fav dish of the night has to be the signature crab beehoon. Crab was big and fresh, the broth of the dish was super umami. Service was also very prompt. Would recommend to host your overseas guest over here for dinner.
