Came here for an impromptu dinner. Has convenient parking space just outside the place ☺️ greeted by a very friendly and bubbly female staff who gave us a brief introduction to the menu. Heard that julien royer himself is a fan of this place and we can see why. There wasn't a bad dish in all that we ordered. It was just good and better course after course. Seasoning is restraint and harmonious. The prawn cake is unlike any other we've tried with the plump cooked-just-right tiger prawns. That crisp at the edge was gorgeous. Chawanmushi was a milder tasting and a great in-between course palate cleanser. Finally came the donabe. We didnt realised it came with a bed of spring onion. Explaining to them that we would prefer not to have it, the male staff helpfully arranged a new portion for us without them. Great service and equally great food. This is a special place with its energetic back of house (I was seated near the service window) and a front of house who are passionate about the food they laid out. Keep it up NF team 😊
View on GoogleFood was not bad!! Crab chawanmushi was p nice and savoury. Cabbage was okay but it’s very rich. Kang kong salad was rly interesting although I’m not the biggest fan. Hamachi collar was well cooked and it paired well with the sambal. Service was great!!
View on GoogleA stalwart seafood restaurant which never fails to deliver. It's been around for a few years and what sets them apart is their sourcing of their seafood. The species name of each seafood is listed on their menu. Had their chawanmushi which was packed with umami. Their squid a la plancha is totally delicious and a must order. The prawn mee was packed full of crustacean flavour. The fish and chips was a standout, the breading crispy but the fish juicy on the inside. Paired well with the tartare sauce. Save space for their rendition of cendol as well. Service was very friendly and helpful as well.
View on GoogleHad dinner at Naked Finn to try their yakitori special - and tried a few of the classics on the menu like the grilled squid and yellow croaker donabe that’s a twist on Teochew steamed fish (with sour plum, tomato and salted veg - delish!). Reminded of why this is one of my favourite restaurants in SG. A real respect for ingredients here, you can trust you’re getting the best seafood cooked to perfection - and always a little something new to surprise you.
View on GoogleNaked Fin offers a pleasant and convenient dining experience. The space has an open, airy feel but is fully air-conditioned and neatly arranged. A major plus is the convenient parking available outside, which makes the visit hassle-free. I went for lunch, and while the menu options were somewhat limited, the seafood dishes truly shined. I would highly recommend focusing on the fish and prawn items. The seafood pankcake was a standout – the base was incredibly flavorful and well-seasoned, a clear highlight. We paired it with the thin noodles, which did an excellent job of holding the delicious sauce. A couple of notes: the vegetable sides and the salad were rather underwhelming and I wouldn't recommend them. Overall, the meal felt refined and detail-oriented (especially in the sauce and seasoning), but the pricing leans toward the higher end. You're paying more for the craftsmanship than for abundance. It's a great restaurant to consider if you want to experience authentic Singaporean/Nanyang flavors in a comfortable setting, particularly for the seafood. It's perfect for someone appreciating culinary details. However, if you're primarily looking for high-value, large-portion meals, you might want to manage your expectations or explore other options.
