The ambience strikes a sweet balance between casual and chic, making it an ideal spot for a catch-up with friends, a date night, or simply unwinding after a long day. 🍸 Cocktails Hopscotch truly lives up to its reputation for inventive drinks. Beautifully presented, thoughtfully crafted, and packed with local flavours, every sip felt like a little surprise waiting to be discovered. 🍽️ Food The dishes were well-executed, flavourful, and elevated familiar favourites with modern twists. Portions were generous enough for sharing, allowing us to sample a variety of offerings. 🌿 Atmosphere The lush surroundings of Gillman Barracks add a unique charm to the dining experience. Whether indoors or al fresco, the setting feels cosy, vibrant, and wonderfully laid-back. Overall, Hopscotch is more than just a restaurant—it’s an experience where good food, creative drinks, and a charming setting come together effortlessly. Definitely a place worth revisiting for another round of cocktails and culinary adventures! ✨🍸🍴
View on GoogleNice decent restaurant. Quite a lot of choices for its set lunch. Considering the options available, and for the price. It was quite value for money. You could also pay a bit extra, if you wanted something more. Service was good. The food was not bad. Not forgetting, the bread, which was great. Especially with the olive oil and bread. Would definitely drop by again soon!
View on GoogleDiscovered Hopscotch through the Burpple app, and found out that they were having 1 for 1 mains, so I decided to give it a shot one day when I’m in the area. My friend and I ordered the chilli lobster malfadine pasta & the duck confit with foie gras. Chilli lobster malfadine pasta 🦞 🍝 Rating: 2/5 The half Boston lobster that was served with the dish looked great but there was only slivers of meat on it. My friend said that there was practically no flesh on it. So at the end of it, you’re spending $30++ for carbs with sauce. Duck confit with foie gras 🦆 Rating: 4/5 Whilst the duck confit came with a crispy skin and fall-off-the-bone flesh, the dish being served with foie gras ruined the collaboration of flavours rather than complementing each other. For both dishes, the portion was on the smaller side of things and we both left still feeling hungry. In addition to this, the airconditioned seating area is small, only fitting about 5 groups, and yet it’s not cool. Would I come back again? Only if I still had 1 for 1 discounts to use. I wouldn’t pay full price for what they’re offering.
View on GoogleLoved everything about this place! The service and food were excellent – genuinely top-notch. We also caught their happy hour deal before 8pm, which is super attractive. Made the whole evening even better. One pleasant surprise: we parked on a Tuesday night and when we left, the carpark was free! No idea why, but definitely not complaining. Will be back for sure. Highly recommend!
View on GoogleCame here to try and realised it has a lot of interesting cocktails that are not normal. Like the warm bak kut teh cocktail that tasted like BKT with whiskey. Some of the food is also kind of fusion of local and western food. So there’s the chilli lobster pasta which is a bit too sweet rather than spicy. I had the wagyu burger which was good except that the patty was a tad too dry. Overall it’s a great place for those who love cocktails and like trying some local flavored types.
