Currently no lock on the gate so I went in to get some photos which show the internal areas, which may be of interest to anyone keen to see the history of the area. There is one main tunnel with several ammunition storage rooms branching off. There is plenty of old shell casings stacked up in a couple of the rooms and a pile of mortar shells in another. An interesting aspect is the stack of old lamps in one small storage area. These lamps look as though they used a burning wick to provide light. Safe travels, Mega.
View on GoogleWas disappointed to find the tunnel has been sealed and closed for good due to structural deterioration and deemed unsafe - information was from park staff.

View on GoogleA very cool and mysterious historical spot in the park! The tunnel is located not far from Gun Emplacement III, but it is tucked away at the side among the greenery, so keep an eye out for the information board or you might easily walk right past it. The entrance gate is locked for safety so you can only peer in from the outside, but it still makes for great photos and offers an interesting peek into Singapore’s wartime past.
