Had the signature don and spicy white fish don. The chawanmushi was served in a broken and dirty bowl. The white fish don only had 3 pieces of fish tempura and 1 egg. Like what other reviewers said, the quantity is miserable small, the amount of rice is also small. In terms of value for money, the signature don is more worthwhile. The tempura has too much batter and it is very oily. So the meal taste cloying. The taste of the batter is sweet and salty. They did not serve the pickles until we had to ask for it. There are other places that serve better tempura at similar prices.
View on Google20170923 - good restaurant layout but location unfortunately far from main crowd. pls see menu attached, known for tendon mix. Food quality itself is on decent but the white fish (presumably dory) smells.... I would replace that with chicken breast for quality control. Mini udon may be the best in the order for me. In all, food quality is decent and service is good (attentive), however cleanliness (plates, bowls, chopsticks) seems to be an issue, can be improved immediately. best wishes.
View on GoogleDon't expect to be eating any kind of healthy food here. With that out of the way, I thought the serving portion is just right. I finished my rice which is something new when most places serve too much rice with the tempura. I thought it's all round decent though, so thanks for that!
View on GoogleBest deal of the tempura japanese restaurant in Vivo City. Reasonable price and the portion is quite huge. Needless to say delicious foods which gets you salivating. I ordered tempura set and tendon set, both tasted delightful
View on GoogleTheir signature tendon set comes strongly recommended that comes over flowing with crispy large pieces of fried tempura drenched with a luscious sauce. It's like having the best of both worlds satisfying my carbo craving with fresh seafood and vegetables. The tempura comprises of an enormous piece of fish fillet, two prawns, one large piece of carrot, pumpkin, mushroom, egg plant and long beans. Buried under the yummy tempura is a runny egg yolk that coats the rice with its lovely hue of yellow. This is indeed value for its money. I was glad that the amount of sauce served was just right otherwise it would become too salty and masked the freshness of the ingredients. Their signature tendon was so impressive that other items such as the char siew salad pales in comparison which I would give it a miss in the future. Staff was courteous and responsive which made the dinning a rather pleasant one.
