⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ new favorite snack unlocked stopped by MIZ today and saw they had a Portobello Tempura Promotion for $10, so obviously we had to get it to share. omg guys, it is SO good. i usually just get normal ebi or vegetable tempura, but using a giant portobello mushroom is a total game changer. the batter was incredibly light and crispy, and when you bite into it, the mushroom is super juicy and flavorful. it’s the perfect crunchy side dish to share with your friends, especially for just ten bucks. the vibes were immaculate as usual and the lady boss was so nice. definitely add this to your order before the promo ends!!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ actual perfection ​went back to MIZ for dinner and ordered the Toro Saba (mackerel) and wow... i’m still thinking about it. ​the skin was perfectly charred and crispy, but the fish inside was so juicy and fatty, it literally flaked apart so easily. saba can sometimes taste too fishy at other places, but here it was just incredibly savory and smoky. it goes so perfectly with a hot bowl of rice! ​as always, the lady boss was super sweet and the vibes upstairs were 10/10. if you want something comforting, smoky, and delicious, definitely get the toro saba!!!

Pork Sukiyaki @ $14.50 Warm comforting bowl of sukiyaki with a hint of sweetness, served with a generous amount of tender pork slices. ✨Soft Shell Crab @ $12 Light and crispy exterior with a succulent, meaty interior though it was a tad too salty for me. Veg Tempura @ $14.50 Comes with a wide variety of tempura — including zucchini, pumpkin, brinjal, potato, enoki mushroom, carrot, and shiitake mushroom. My personal favs were the pumpkin and enoki mushroom, coated in a light and crispy exterior with a flavourful interior. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ first time here and im sold ​so my older cousin finally brought me to MIZ today because she kept talking about how good it is, and honestly it lived up to the hype completely. the place is kinda hidden in kampong bahru and the dining area is upstairs, which makes it feel like a secret hangout spot. ​since it was my first time, I decided to treat myself and ordered the Kaisen Jyo Chirashi. oh my god guys, the bowl was literally piled with fresh sashimi pieces—salmon, tuna, yellowtail, octopus, and everything tasted so clean and premium. the portion size is huge for a chirashi bowl, it's not just a tiny layer of fish over a mountain of rice like some other places do. ​the Japanese lady boss was super welcoming when we walked in and the whole vibe just feels so genuine and cozy. definitely didn't expect to find such a cool, authentic spot hidden here. i am 100% coming back with my classmates next time!!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ my mouth is literally on fire ​tried the Volcano Ramen at MIZ today because i wanted something spicy, and oh my god it definitely lives up to the name. ​the broth is so rich and thick, and it has this crazy, fiery kick that hits you immediately. but it's not just pure spice—it actually has a ton of savory flavor and the noodles are perfectly chewy. if you can handle the heat, it is the ultimate comfort food for a rainy day. ​the lady boss brought me a big glass of ice water when she saw my face turning red, she’s literally the nicest 😭 10/10 if you love spicy food!
