Was recommended this restaurant when I was searching for an eatery near central west and is MRT accessible. No regrets as the food was good but what stood out was the warm and genial service which made the meal outstanding for my friends and I. Chose the fried chicken bao which I felt was filling but not outstanding although that's my personal opinion. Think the pork belly bao could be a better selection for me next time. The beef noodles were excellent although I felt the soup was about too salty and not something I would drink on its own. The side dishes were nice and I loved that they served sparkling water in 850ml bottles for a few dollars! Peanut ice-cream was nice and I would have it again definitely. All in, a nice meal made excellent by great service!
View on GoogleTucked away beneath a Redhill HDB block, Abundance crafts a lively, modern take on Taiwanese night-market comfort food. The space effortlessly blends casual cafe vibes with craft beer taps, making it an ideal spot to unwind over bold, savory flavors. The beef noodles arrive in a deeply fragrant, spiced herbal broth, brimming with tender beef chunks and chewy springy noodles. Next, the slick chili dumplings deliver a satisfying punch of vinegary tang and chili oil heat. The crown jewel, however, is the signature 3-layered pork bun (Gua Bao). A cloud-soft lotus bun holds a slab of melt-in-your-mouth braised pork belly, perfectly balanced by crunchy roasted peanuts, savory salted vegetables, and fresh coriander. If you prefer your pork over rice, the braised pork rice (Lu Rou Fan) serves up that same rich, gelatinous pork rendered into a comforting bowl of savory goodness. To cap off the feast, the ice cream spring roll dessert provides a fun, nostalgic finish straight from Yilan. Sweet taro ice cream and crushed peanut candy are wrapped inside a delicate spring roll skin with coriander, delivering a delightful contrast of nutty, cool, and herbaceous notes. Satisfying, hearty, and full of character.
View on GoogleOrdered a set meal, really value for $ for two. The beef noodle is excellent and the beef is very tasty and tender. The prawn toast was crispy and flavourful. Joyce's service is excellent. She is fast, accurate and acknowledgeable of the food.
View on GoogleFood was, not exactly like what we had in Taiwan but just as tasty. The service staff was attentive and prompt, polite and friendly, makes the dining experience more pleasant. I was too fast and didn’t take photo of the short ribs fried rice. It’s pretty good but not suitable for people who don’t like fats.
View on GoogleWent here for a catchup with friends and the food truly made the session better. The seasonal dish Bun Kut Teh is a MUST get. Each bite rewards you with the delicious, oily, crunchy, savoury and juicy ingredients all perfectly encapsulated by the buns. The cabbage & pork dish is a must get too, it goes well with the rice (which also has options to add pork lard, which you definitely have to get). The eggplant & chicken dish was pretty decent. And in my opinion, similar to other dishes you’d get at Taiwanese restaurants. The eggplant is cooked chewy and its texture just ushers all the flavour in, while the chicken brings in the heat. For drinks, would recommend the Osmanthus Tie Guan Ying for a calm and light cleanse for your palate. The staff were homely and welcoming. Reservations are highly recommended as the queue can be quite lengthy. Atmosphere wise, the inside is pretty compact so expect a little difficulty in holding conversations. Would recommend outdoor seating if you’re looking to have smoother convos.
