The best overall description I can give of the food here is: Watery and bland. Almost every item we ordered was watery and bland. Also, the dishes tasted like they had been cooked a long time ago and just reheated. Curry chicken was watery, with little coconut milk. The meat was very dry, which shouldn't be for chicken thigh. It had little flavour. Sambal sotong was watery, and cooked in a strange manner. There were green peas in it. Also, there was an inedible leaf that was cut into small strips so you kept having to pull it out if your mouth. If something is inedible, then perhaps don't make it so hard for the item to be removed. The seafood otah was obviously not watery but perhaps the worst item we ordered. It was mushy and didn't taste like otah. A rip-off at $11.80. Of the two sides we ordered, nonya chap chye was watery and bland. Only the tofu was a saving grace. Cheng teng was so sweet it still tasted overly sweet when I asked for hot water to be added. Teh-o costs $2.70 each. Overall, we paid nearly $43 for this low quality food. Definitely won't be back.
View on GoogleOrder 2 sets. The beef rendang is good. The sides not worth it. The Assam fish is so so only. Cashier not familiar with modes of payment. All items come in small portions. Overall still ok, but unlikely to come again for lunch or dinner. May try the afternoon tea promo thing with a drink and a kuei.
View on GoogleNice nyonyah food. Like eating in a chic boutique cafe. The set is nice and reasonable. Open air in atrium is nice experience too. Staff is friendly and very relax and easy going. The food is quite authentic peranakan flavour. The sago melaka is addictive.
View on GoogleService is good, many Set meals to choose from and value for money (1 main, 2 sides, 1 drink, 1 desert) at about 15, 16 dollars plus. Good dinning experience, will come back again.
View on GoogleI waited for about 20 minutes for my food. There were about 6-7 customers and they were eating their food. Slow preparation. I ordered a Assam fish set and a ala carte sambal sotong. The ala carte sotong tasted bland. Well to be fair, it was only salty and spicy. No fragrance whatsoever. The Assam fish tasted slightly better but the fish was kind of ‘hard’. Most likely frozen fish. If you like small portion meals, this place is up your alley because the food they served is really in small bowls. It was my first and also my last to visit this establishment.
