Today both set meals were very well done. Chicken was crispy, tender and juicy, and fish n chips too was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Very warm and attentive staff. Keep up the good work 👏

Decent family restaurant. Food is not fantastic, but good enough for the kids. Desserts are a crowd favourite too. Ordered the fish baked rice, mac & cheese, and an OG Ultra burger. Kids loved the baked rice and mac & cheese, though the latter got a bit jelak after a while. The burger was surprisingly good. Loved the caramelised onions and the sauce, and even the patty was better than I remembered. Desserts wise, we got the mint ice cream and the sticky chewy chocolate. I didn't try the mint, but the sticky chewy chocolate was pretty darn delicious. Service was quite slow though. The dishes arrived quite far apart from one another. First the baked rice, then the mac & cheese, and finally the burger. By the time my burger arrived, my kids were done with their food. Also, staff didn't look friendly. In fact, they looked like they were forced to work, and everything was a chore.

Great experience dining back at swensens. Haven’t been here for a long time and it brought back memories of how I had it when I was a kid. Food wise, their selections have grown tremendously, but the staples are definitely still there.

🟧 Swensen's 301 Upper Thomson Rd, #03-23, Thomson Plaza, Singapore 574408 🟡 Location = The Swensen’s at Thomson Plaza is nestled at a corner of the 3rd level, adjacent to a children’s educational learning centre. 🟨 Visited with my hubby and ordered two items to share, as we were not very hungry. ● Creamy Mushroom Soup — SGD9.90 ◼️ Strawberry Sundae — SGD8.80 🟤 Food wise = The mushroom soup was thick, creamy, and delicious. 🔶️ The Strawberry Sundae was a lovely treat and brought back nostalgic memories of me as a teenager dining at Swensen’s in the 1980s. 🟢 Decor / Ambience ************************* 🟢 This is said to be the very first Swensen’s restaurant in Singapore, which opened in 1979 at Thomson Plaza. 🟢 The beautiful stained-glass Tiffany lamps are a classic decor element that harks back to the 1980s and 1990s. 🟢 There are booth seats too, which make dining comfortable and cosy. 🟠 The restaurant isn’t too crowded on a Monday, allowing a peaceful and relaxed dining experience. 🟪 Mr Rafiq, the floor manager in charge, was very pleasant, affable, and polite. We had a short chat with him and found him to be warm and amiable. 🟨 Overall, today’s simple dine-in at Swensen’s truly brought back wonderful memories of the past. ● A timeless restaurant that continues to serve comfort food with warmth and nostalgia — Swensen’s at Thomson Plaza remains a sentimental favourite after all these years. 🔵 6th Oct 2025 Monday evening.
