Had a lovely meal at Oaks Coffee Co. We ordered the Carbonara and Chicken Stew, along with a Lychee & Rose drink and an Akagashi Matcha Latte. The Chicken Stew was slightly salty for my liking, but it was very flavourful and came with a generous portion of crispy yet juicy grilled chicken bites, potatoes, and carrots, served with two slices of toasted sourdough. The Carbonara portion was also substantial, with plenty of bacon and mushrooms throughout. For those ordering matcha with savoury food, I would recommend the Akagashi Matcha Latte. I found it paired better with the meal compared to the other matcha option, which was more bitter and nutty. Service was excellent. We were initially seated outdoors, but when it started to drizzle, the staff thoughtfully offered to move us indoors. It was a small gesture that made a big difference. The restroom was clean and spacious, though there is only one cubicle located on the upper deck. Do note that wheelchair users may find access challenging as there are about 4–5 steps leading up. Overall, good food, generous portions, attentive service, and a comfortable dining experience. Would be happy to return.
View on GooglePulled pork toastie was yumz 😋 ends may be abit tough but it was good salmon pasta may be abit gelak tom yum pasta was creamy and had bit of spice to it matcha was thick and good, ordered less sweet and it came just nicely done. service though was REALLY good! especially the female server who gave off really kind vibes, she smiled and served everyone really nicely 👍🏻 may be abit loud to hold a convo on a fri lunch crowd but overall enjoyed my lunch here
View on GoogleIt’s actually a pretty nice cafe! I’ll recommend reservations for weekends and PH! Tried the Shakshouka which was pretty good! Portion was big too. Eggs Benedict had a nice yuzu hollandaise! For drinks, we got the Dirty Earl which is one of their popular barista creations. It was aromatic, but we were surprised that the cup was so small for the price!
View on GoogleVisited Oaks Coffee Co. at Thomson this time around with mixed experiences. The hojicha latte was a highlight — smooth, aromatic, and nicely balanced with a subtle roasted flavour that paired really well overall. Unfortunately, the tiramisu didn’t quite hit the mark, lacking the depth and richness I was expecting. The fried chicken also didn’t suit my palate, as the flavours felt a bit off for me. That said, service was excellent — attentive and friendly throughout, which definitely made the visit more pleasant. The atmosphere was comfortable and inviting, a nice spot to chill. On a previous visit, I had their pulled pork sourdough, which was really good and left a much stronger impression. Overall: 3/5 for this visit — still a decent café, but a bit inconsistent across different items.
