Love the pork belly rice and the chicken sandwich. My girls really enjoy the matcha drinks too. The truffle fries are good, but the Brussels sprouts are a bit too sweet—they should ease up on the sauce. The cafe is quite new—a good spot to grab a bite and catch up with friends. We will definitely return again.
View on GoogleCame in to a decently busy evening Saturday. Price wise, a little steep due to GST & service considering the location is filled with many other cafes that offers a little more value. That being said, whilst the food was w little small, they were generally delicious. The truffle Yuzu capellini was served in cold, refreshing and fresh. Yuzu Koshu Wings were very juicy, tender and succulent, with a good hint of Yuzu sauce stemmed from the acidity. The Guy Sando, whilst being supposed to be the star, seemed a little underwhelming from the portion. Whilst the beef tenderloin were tender, I didn't find anything else to be rave about. If anything, the sauce in the Sando seem to be doing the carrying instead. Nothing need to be said much for the Strawberry Matcha Cloud. Simple, not so sweet and matcha Gao Gao.
View on GoogleI really liked the tamago fillings but would prefer the bread to be more crisp on the outside to hold the fillings better. The apple chamomile drink combination was refreshing and came with a slice of apple on top. The banana cube looked so good that I decided to add it on. Love the takeaway packaging. Everything was packed properly and securely.
View on GoogleVisited on eve of CNY for late lunch. Yummy wagyu donburi. Tamago sando tasted alright but a bit messy to eat. Loved the matcha strawberry cold cream. Latte a bit bitter but creaminess made it enjoyable. Service was pretty good. Ambience not fantastic -- outdoors get traffic noise, cigarette smoke from neighbours, and rain. Indoors near kitchen it's a bit noisy but still can hold conversations. Also a pity they don't have good selection of desserts. Still would return soon to try other sandos, hopefully the cafe is less crowded.
View on GoogleWhat better way to spend a holiday than chilling at one of our favourite cafes along this upper Thomson stretch!! They make a mean gyu sando that’s for sure, and eating it piping hot and fresh on the spot is completely different from ordering it on grab. Those with a lighter palate will enjoy their hotate (scallop) capellini which doesn’t overwhelm with its delicate flavors. And of course, you can wash down the meal with a cuppa joe. Not a big fan of the matcha though. If anything, I wish they had an electronic queue system so we didn’t have to physically stand outside in the heat and stench of the drain adjacent to the entrance.
