I am honestly surprised by the ratings given to this cafe. With 4.5 stars I assumed good food & good coffee but we did not feel the stars were justified. I pretty much felt cheated with my cappuccino with extra espresso shot. It was pretty diluted and the milk foam was lacklustre. My grilled sourdough BLT was tough as bricks. I understand sourdough is a hard bread - I bake them, I have tasted plenty but this one was just... I'd say worse than an amateur baker's creation. It looks good, don't get me wrong, but the taste is super underwhelming. Cheese was a piece of unmelted cheddar and there were two roughly sliced tomatoes. I deconstructed the sandwich in order to be able to chew some parts of it. My friend's matcha latte was unexciting - she loves matcha latte, she didn't even finish it. Her mushroom omelette was wet. Very wet. She also ordered a garlic sourdough which she regretted. The silver lining was in the form of another friend's mushroom melt sandwich. I give one extra star for this gem. This was done well and we were all pleasantly surprised. We all wished we had ordered that instead. Another downside: The cafe was smoky and smelled of fried food. Ventilation definitely needs to be looked into.

Love the friendly service and welcoming environment. Good selection of dishes and we love sourdough bread. Tomato soups was great too. I had chicken sandwich- very tender and just right. Will come and try other dishes.

Came here once but I think this has been refreshed/renamed to Cottage. Px seems to have come down a bit compared to last time. Ordered chicken, beef burger and cheese sandwich. Food is pleasantly good and served warmed. The tomato soup that came with the cheese sandwich was good. We ordered a $1 tea but came as cold tea (we assume it's hot tea) perhaps the online menu can update this confusion. Cafe latte not bad either. Oh, love the cute print on the water paper cups! Cafe however was not well ventilated so we left the place reeked of food smell :(

The prices was what attracted me. Breakfast munchies range from $5-14 which is very affordable. We had a total for 6 items which accumulated to $40! We had the smoked salmon with scrambled eggs and sour dour bread which was very good 👍🏻 Tomato soup went well with the toast. The chocolate cake was alittl too much for me but that’s fine. The coffee could be better. We had the ice mocha and ice sweet potato latte. But considering the price, food and the wonderful staff, definitely worth coming back

The food was fairly simple. Perhaps what to expect from the price. Hot drinks served in paper cups. My Houjicha was not hot. The lettuce in my salad looked limp and browning at the edge. It was a Saturday at about 11:45am with only one other table with customers so staff were sitting at the side chilling on their phones. Perhaps they should have topped up the cutlery and cups at tables as ours was missing items. Also the water jug looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while with brown dirt on the outer base. Was disappointed given the current rating and how nice the place looks.
