I ordered Yang Zhou fried rice, salted vegetable soup, Pork Rib King, and kangkong. The fried rice was good, and the pork ribs were okay. However, the kangkong had a sour taste that was too strong; it tasted like tom yum paste.
View on GoogleGood old school Zi Char. The Chai Poh Kway Teow didn't disappoint and taste great. The star dish in our opinion was the commonly available hot plate beancurd ... Prefectly done 👍👍. Rest of the dishes are good and we certainly enjoyed our weekday dinner.
View on GoogleTheres a noodle shop here which has nice noodle selection. Tried the soft bone pork noodle and the pork was tasty with a slight tinge of vinegar marinate. Tea here is fragrant as well. Nice and shady space with fans. Comfortable in the day time.
View on GoogleRevisited Ong Yong Lee Zi Char after many years and was blown away by their Chai Po Hor Fun. The dish was a masterclass in wok hei—smoky, flavorful, and perfectly executed. Honestly, it's the best Chai Po Hor Fun I've ever had. And the best part? Just $5 for a regular portion! Will definitely return soon to try their other dishes. Hidden gem worth rediscovering.
View on GoogleWe ordered red snapper steamboat $48 and chyepoh dry horfun 5.50 for a weekend dinner and it didnt disappoint! However due to the crowd there is a wait for about 15-30min. It is ok as the horfun was super tasty and value for money. They came and topped up our soup for the steamboat without prompting as well. The boss brother ahpeng came and had a small talk with us and recommended dishes for our next visit! Will come again to try the other dishes!
