This place offers the best views of the city. I had an hours wait to get the cable car to the top but it was definitely worth the wait. Much to my surprise there are plenty of places to eat and shop at the summit and, of course, you can ride to the observation decks on the Seoul Tower. Another surprise was the number of locks (the Locks of Love) that couples have attached to the railings that surround the summit. If you're with someone special there are places that sell the locks and you can write your names or a message on them before you fix them to the railing. Bottom line, there's lots to do and memories to be made at the top even on a cloudy day!

View on GoogleNamsan Tower, it was beautiful and calm. Enjoyed the visit. I was particulary interested in the tradition of “love locks”. The phenomenon began appearing in the early-to-mid 2000s, becoming especially popular around 2007–2008 after Korean TV dramas and films showed couples placing locks there as symbols of eternal love.

View on GoogleA beautiful way to hike up to Seoul Tower. Lots of stairs, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water. Take over an hour to get to the base of the tower. Even if Seoul Tower is not the destination, it is still a great park destination, easily accessible via subway.
