Go up the tower. It is worth it. I went on a rainy and cloudy day and was warned the visibility was poor. It was still super cool. It will be crowded potentially on holidays and high visibility days. The view is staggering though

Lotte World Mall is a truly grand and relatively modern project in Seoul. It is located right next to the iconic Lotte World Tower, which is the tallest building in South Korea and one of the tallest in the world. The entire area is not just a mall, but a massive complex, essentially divided into multiple sections, including Lotte World Mall and other Lotte shopping spaces connected together. It feels like a full city within a city. The scale is impressive — you can easily spend an entire day here exploring shops, restaurants, attractions, and more. Everything is modern, well-designed, and highly organized. This is definitely a must-visit destination in Seoul. Projects of this scale and level are rare, and it’s an experience you won’t easily find elsewhere.

Very big unorganized mall. Compared to the sleek shopping centers found elsewhere in Seoul this one lacks not in terms of variety bit in terms of selection and misleading directions. Given the size of this place, the information as tonwhere everything is should be much more accessible. As is, it was confusing and misleading.

They close at 10 pm, which I was very grateful for since many malls and stores shut by 8 pm. I rushed there at the last minute to visit Gentle Monster and Stand Oil, as both of their standalone stores in Seongsu close earlier. I hopped on an Uber and arrived right at 8 pm, went straight to Stand Oil, then headed up one floor to Gentle Monster, which was super convenient. After that, since it was our last night, we stopped by the supermarket to pick up Korean snacks and staples like seasonings, seaweed, and kimchi. They also had a great selection of skincare. It honestly saved us for last minute shopping, especially since it stays open much later compared to most other malls.

This place is huge. Originally went for the aquarium but stopped by the food court on the way. Ate at this delicious Chinese place where we order duck and bbq pork roll. I was surprised by size of the aquarium as it was tucked away in corner and seemed small at first and you don't really feel the true scale of it until you're further inside. Also went to the tower and view was amazing. Only really complaint was that the lights inside the tower are really reflective on the glass so taking photos of the view at night can be a bit difficult. Definitely plan on returning here to do additional shopping at some point.
