A great park with plenty of space to explore. The park is huge, with lots of walking paths, playgrounds, and water play areas for kids, making it a nice place for families to spend a few hours. I visited mainly for the Pokémon event and arrived around 12:00 PM. Unfortunately, due to the massive crowd, the estimated entry time was only around 4:30 PM. The waiting time was simply too long, so I decided to skip the event. The park itself is worth visiting, but if you’re planning to attend a special event, be prepared for long queues and consider arriving much earlier.
View on GoogleA beautiful green space in Seoul and a great place to take a break from the busy city. There are tree-lined walking paths, ponds, fountains and plenty of open green areas to explore. It’s also very close to the cafés and shops around Seongsu, so it’s easy to visit both on the same day. 🚇 Take the Suin-Bundang Line to Seoul Forest Station (서울숲역).
View on GoogleHands down, Seoul Forest Park is my top-tier spot for chilling in Seoul—and the best part? It’s absolutely FREE! If you’re in the city and craving a breath of fresh air, this park is a whole vibe. You can go full picnic mode, get your daily steps in with those endless trails, or just sit and soak up the ever-changing scenery. Every season brings its own magic: dreamy cherry blossoms in spring, major green energy in summer, golden Insta-ready leaves in autumn, and crisp, peaceful walks when winter hits. 🍃✨ This urban escape is perfect for literally anyone—whether you want solo peaceful moments to clear your mind or need a fun, laid-back spot for catching up with friends. Trust me, Seoul Forest Park always delivers seriously chill energy! ☀️ I had the best time just hanging out by the pond, swapping stories with my friend—sooo peaceful, instant mood boost! Can’t wait to go back again, no cap. Pro tip: Show up early for max chill and fresh vibes, or roll in around sunset for that main character moment. The park really glows when the sun goes down. If you want to experience Seoul without spending a ton, this spot is a must-add to your checklist. Jog, vibe, people-watch, or just wander—there’s always something to do. View on GoogleI LOVE PARKS. A beautiful and expansive urban park that offers a refreshing escape right in the middle of Seoul. Seoul Forest Park is well-loved for its mix of nature, art, and recreational spaces, making it a favorite spot for both locals and visitors. The park is vert spacious with multiple themed areas including ecological zones, cultural art spaces, and riverside paths. It’s perfect for walking, jogging, biking, or simply relaxing on the wide open lawns. Many visitors highlight how peaceful it feels despite being in a busy city, with tree-lined paths and scenic spots that change beautifully with the seasons—especially during cherry blossom spring and golden ginkgo autumn. One of the unique highlights is the eco-forest area with deer, along with gardens, ponds, and small exhibits like butterfly or insect spaces. There are also plenty of picnic areas, and it’s common to see people bringing food, lounging on the grass, or enjoying a slow afternoon with friends. The park is also very accessible and family-friendly, with bike paths, playgrounds, and open spaces for kids and pets. Nearby Seongsu area adds to the experience, with trendy cafés and restaurants just a short walk away. That said, a few visitors mention that it can feel less exciting in winter or if you’re expecting major tourist attractions—it’s best appreciated as a relaxing, slow-paced destination rather than a must-see landmark.
View on GoogleWe went in the evening and it was magical! It’s quite a lovely walking experience around the park although they closed at 7pm so make sure to go there before that otherwise you don’t get to see everything as they closed some of the areas as well as the lights. The washroom is very clean and it is also near the bus stations also.
