Wangbijib was one of our strongest meals in Myeongdong. The restaurant specialises in Korean barbecue, with a menu built around premium Hanwoo beef, marinated galbi and an extensive selection of banchan. The beef was the clear highlight: beautifully marbled, tender and full of flavour without needing heavy seasoning. Wangbijib’s menu includes cuts such as Hanwoo sirloin, tenderloin, chuck flap tail and boneless short rib, alongside its well-known marinated beef galbi. The service was excellent. The staff managed the tabletop grill confidently, adjusting the heat and cooking each piece carefully, which allowed us to enjoy the meat at its best rather than worrying about overcooking it. The generous side dishes, sauces and vegetables made the meal feel complete, while the marinated galbi offered a sweeter, richer contrast to the more delicate flavour of the Korean beef. The atmosphere is the weakest part of the experience. The room is busy, brightly lit and fairly functional, with more of a popular Myeongdong restaurant feeling than an intimate or design-led dining experience. It can also feel crowded during peak hours. Still, the quality of the food and the attentiveness of the service more than compensate for the setting. Come for the Hanwoo and the traditional Korean barbecue experience rather than the ambience. Excellent meat, professional service and a very worthwhile stop in central Seoul. 4/5.
View on GoogleAmazing Korean BBQ experience! The quality of the meat was excellent—super fresh, tender, and full of flavor. The staff were very attentive and helped with grilling, which made everything even more enjoyable. I also loved the variety of side dishes (banchan); everything was clean, well-prepared, and delicious. The atmosphere was cozy and perfect for a nice meal with friends. Definitely one of the best BBQ spots I’ve tried in Seoul. I’ll be coming back for sure!
View on GoogleNot bad, a bit pricey for the amount of meat. Nice side dishes. Charcoal heat was really strong. Would recommend for winter. Summer was just a little too warm
View on GoogleSaw this place online and had pretty high expectations. Overall, it was a decent experience, but the beef didn’t taste as amazing as I expected. I’m not sure if it’s just my personal preference or the specific cut we had — it just didn’t stand out in terms of flavour. It’s also a bit pricey, probably because it’s located in Myeongdong. That said, the experience itself wasn’t bad. One thing I really appreciated is that the staff cook the meat for you, so you don’t have to worry about overcooking it. Service was efficient and the dining process was smooth. Not mind-blowing for me, but still a solid option if you’re in the area.
View on GoogleAmazing Korean BBQ in Myeongdong 🤗🔥 This place is soooo popular and always busy! 😂😅 The staff grilled the meat for us, which made everything even better 😂 The meat was sooo soft, juicy, and yummy. I couldn't stop eating 😋 Definitely worth the wait! 😘
