Cheonggyecheon was one of those places that immediately slows you down. It’s surprising to find such a calm stream running through the middle of the city, and I liked how easy it was to just sit nearby and let my mind wander. The whole area felt a bit unique and peaceful, and I could see myself spending a lot of time there whenever I wanted a quiet break.
View on GoogleMy visit to Cheonggyecheon Stream was one of the most peaceful and refreshing experiences I had in Seoul. Walking along the crystal-clear stream in the middle of a bustling city felt like discovering a hidden oasis. The gentle sound of flowing water, lush greenery, and beautifully designed walkways created a calm atmosphere that allowed me to slow down and truly enjoy the moment. I loved strolling beside the stream, taking photos of the scenic views, and watching people relax, chat, and enjoy the surroundings. As the sun began to set, the lights reflecting on the water made the place even more magical and picturesque. It was the perfect escape from the busy streets while still being right in the heart of the city. What made Cheonggyecheon special for me was how it beautifully blends nature with urban life. It reminded me that even in a fast-paced city like Seoul, there are places where you can find peace, reflect, and simply appreciate the beauty around you. I left feeling refreshed, inspired, and grateful for the experience. If you're visiting Seoul, Cheonggyecheon is a must-visit destination that offers tranquility, beauty, and unforgettable memories. 🌿💧🌃🇰🇷
View on GoogleA hidden gem! The Cheonggyecheon stream runs through downtown Seoul and has a path either side for pedestrians and cyclists. Its full length is 10.9km taking around 2 to 2.5 hours to walk its entirety at a steady pace. We had taken the advice of a fellow traveller who said that the best part goes East/West from Cheonggye Plaza to Gwangjang Market and we thoroughly enjoyed this section of the pathway. Due to its location from the hustle and bustle above, you find yourself relaxing, enjoying nature and yes, even slowing down. What a fantastic concept in such a big city!
View on GoogleStunning park/ stream which is very clean and well maintained. Its great to go for a run/ jog along here or explore in the evening. Its an uninterrupted path that takes you away from the chaos of a city
View on GoogleAbsolutely love the place. Stumbled onto it and a lot of people walking or jogging along, enjoying an oasis of nature in the middle of the busy city. Many young couples on a romantic walk to locals and tourists seeking a respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. Occasionally you'll see wildlife and a small crowd stopping to enjoy the nature.
