Seoul Museum of Craft Art
(SeMoCA), which will open in Anguk-dong, Jongno-gu in 2021, is South Korea's first public craft museum built by the Seoul Metropolitan Government by remodeling five buildings of the former Poongmoon Girls' High School. The Seoul Museum of Craft Art aims to be a dynamic platform where people can experience the technical, practical, artistic, and cultural values of crafts by researching and sharing not only crafts, but also the knowledge, records, people, and environment surrounding crafts.

I happened to pass by and stopped by quickly and it was so beautiful!!! I only had 30 mins but I wished to stay longer. Loved all the old crafts. Korean things are so beautiful. I couldn't believe that it is free to go in.
View on GoogleI appreciate when you get to appreciate both history and craft together. The permanent exhibits are very informative of the development and advancement of craft in Korean history. You get an understanding of where modern asthmatic comes from. It’s wonderful that it’s free to go in.
View on GoogleI visited during an exhibition period and really liked it, especially since admission was free. I spent around an hour and a half walking both inside and outside to see the exhibitions. There are permanent and contemporary exhibitions located in different areas, and several buildings are connected to each other. Even though I visited on a weekday, there were still quite a lot of visitors. Each building has clean restrooms, but they are small, so I saw long lines of people waiting outside. I highly recommend this place to everyone, even to those who don’t usually like art—it’s still a fun place to visit. They also have souvenir shops and a café inside.
View on GoogleWe went to see the all-time exhibition here and it was mind-blowing! Everything is so old, authentic and beautiful! It was such a nice experience. No admission fee for this museum. Strongly recommend!!!
View on GoogleThe Seoul Museum of Craft Art is located in between the Gwanghwamun area and Bukchon. Having three floors, it showcases modern art that's crafted so the art pieces are three dimensional art pieces. Some are functional while some are created for aesthetics.
