We qued for over an hour today. It is fantastic but would not wait that long again. My favourite was bread with corn and mayo. The honeycomb French toast was tasty. My son loved the blueberry bread. The drinks were good too. The cheese and sweet potato bread were ok. Really enjoyed it would return and would recommend
View on GoogleThe toasts here were so delicious. I tried a few different kinds, but the corn butter filling one was definitely my favorite and suited my taste the most. I’d recommend ordering just enough and sharing, so you can try more varieties. For the toasted bread, it’s better to order them with ice cream so they don’t feel too heavy or overwhelming. The drinks were okay — not bad, but nothing particularly special.
View on GoogleThe strawberry tea was legitimately delicious, but the cafe is overhyped in overall. Pros: 1. Strawberry tea is made with real strawberries, not just flavoured tea. 10/10 Very delicious and well balanced. The chestnut bread was decent too. Generous pieces of chestnut within the bread. 2. Corn bread was good, but would recommend you share a set as it is quite rich. 7.5/10 3. Cafe ambience, very nicely decorated and homey feel. Cons: 1. Uncomfortably stuffy / warm in the centre L shape table of the cafe. The ceiling is like a greenhouse where the sun shines straight through. Couple that with the steamers that are in the centre of the shop (open kitchen), and you have a very hot environment. Many of the patrons were wearing hats. They did have ice water on tap which was good. 2. Onion soup was very bland, and when I asked for salt, was advised that they don’t have salt for customers. 3. Service time - in agreement with other reviews, they need to hire more staff. It’s a single staff who takes orders, receives payment, cleans the tables, seats guests, and arranges the line outside. As a result, service was slow - which normally would be fine other than the fact it was so stuffy indoors. Like all viral spots, we expected there’d be a wait time/line. We (2pax) waited 1hr on a weekday mid morning, with about 8-10 tables worth of people ahead of us. When we tried to visit earlier on a different day, the line wrapped around the block so we rescheduled. Overall, I wouldn’t revisit, but if you’re planning to go, order the strawberry tea.
View on GoogleWe arrived at Mil Toast at 7:30am on a Saturday but we only got seated at 8:25am as there was a decent queue. Definitely arrive early if you're planning a weekend visit. Between the two of us, we shared plain and corn steam bread (super fluffy) and the onion potato soup (hearty and flavourful). The iced matcha latte was also decent. The service was polite but not super warm.
View on GoogleThe bread was really nice and soft. I had the blueberry one that came with cream cheese and it was really fresh. I let the waitress choose my drink and it was one of the best coffees I had a Seoul. Really worth a visit, both to Mil Toast and Ikseon
